Harbeth Monitor 40.2

only draw backs with 30.7 is you need a massive room and big power amps.

thought it might have been you. my final three speakers was the Cornwalls, ATC 150/100 actives and my Dukes.

The Harbeth M40 series are really well done. Not that last word in any one area, but very satisfying. They are great over long listening sessions and remain superbly detailed yet non fatiguing.

They all good speakers but somewhat different sounding to each other.
Cornwalls and ATC/Dukes have diff signatures. test over 12 speakers a few years back including 20.7, etc and really only 4 gave me the sound that i was looking for (40.2 being the 4th).

Yes very different.I haven’t heard the dukes but they must be very good speakers for the money.

Your welcome to a listen to my stacked lascala if you like, sounds much beater than one pair imho.I haven’t got the 30.7s hooked up at the moment.

i dont think i would be interested in listening to stacked lascalas - thanks for the offer. 30.7 maybe if Melb wasnt in lock down.

ive heard the 20.7 - love the sounds stage and quickness but thats about it. Ive heard the Cornwalls - wow the lively sound. Heard that the lascalas lack bass.
Did you know all drivers in la Scala are much better than in the cornwalls.I had them but wasn’t happy.
