I need to make a longer DC cable for the linear PSU that feeds TT motor, as it induces hum in SUT/Phono stage,
and wondering if there any downside on having a long DC cable (15 ft)?
Thank you

The current being carried would be minute, even with the low DC voltage, so you don't need massive gauge cable, but consider getting a screened cable to be sure that no external interference reaches the TT motor. It's much too heavy but the construction of Belden 19364 is ideal as it has a screen and a drain, as well as 3 main cores. A lighter 2-core cable would be ideal if you can find one.

Thank you,
I'm thinking Gotham GAC-1 Ultra Pro Star Quad (that's one of the raw cables Ghent Audio is using for DC cables), which is pretty flexible and has 5 layers of shielding.
The current is not a concern, but a possibility of a long cable to be more prone to EMF

I'm cerainly no expect in anything vinyl, but that would seem to tick the boxes you need ticked. It's said to be a very flexible cable designed primarily for microphone use, with all 4 conductors individually screened, plus another screen around the bundle of 4 conductors.

Others her may be able to offer other suggestions.
