Munich show 2023 Hifideluxe and MOC .

[please forgive my poor English]

Aha... This surprises me very much (I listened to the intermediate model, DP-107, but the voice did not convince me).
But I admit that I don't even know the speaker that Aries Cerat (AC) demo'es this year (the most recent Aurora, with active bass?).

Fine for Diptyque if their demo is convincing (French brand, isodynamic panels).
Their new big panel, the Reference, embeds a push-pull system for the bass (= the electro-magnetic force does not just push, as with Magnepans I think, or with my Analysis). So, the bass must surely be very fine and controlled. But what about the midrange then, which after all conveys 80% of the information that our human ears perceive? (reviewers sometimes did not even mention the midrange of the loudspeaker they evaluate...).
It looked like about a 30 inch ribbon and the tweeter was similar but thinner.

Thanks regarding the sibatone horn set up.
First of all its impressive a horn set up from the 1920 s can perform like that.
But its more of a one off expensive demonstration with an enourmous amount of sibatone equipement required.
It can do certain things very well it has speed and dynamics
But is it something you d buy for everday use for music and watch movies.
I dont think so.
I dont think it was perfect either.
It has a nostalgic kinda sound thats especially suited for music from around that era
Thats my opinion

Good for future buys...

Second hand pair of viola labs bravo 2 amps .
Top notch solid state ampification
Metronome Dac .
I think its actually the AQWO sacd player/ Dac that i heard

Wadax is nice but too expensive.
I m Just not gonna flash out 160 K -180 K or whatever the price is for a DAC

hope the sound is fine, so ugly IMO...
Really nicely finished ugly, yeah.

As a system sonically it is definitely not their best effort. They can provide quite appreciably better. It's a good brand overall IMHO.

The WE speakers are not for sale, but the Korean demonstrating it is just an enthusiast who wants to show what those old speakers can do.

The issue I have is how original are the drivers i.e. to what extent have they been fettled? Unknown, and therefore we will probably never know what sort of sound they produced in the day exactly.

That said, I love the guy for bringing them along every year in many different flavours. Respect.

The presentation is fairly unique. But quite high levels of distortion are quite clearly audible. That said, adding distortion on top of Led Zep i.e. music that is inherently deliberately delivered with distorted guitars works well in this case.

Domestically completely unacceptable for most but not all I would guess.

And what about the new Stenheim Alumine Two.Five (room A 4.1, F113, H 3), partnered with DartZeel?

The Stenheim's midrange clarity and expressiveness is usually remarkable. One of the rare loudspeakers using cones which reminds me (more of less) of horns. But synergy&room make all the difference.

Thought this was not very good

Do i think there is room for a andromeda demonstration ....absolutey if you know what to listen for .
XPE speakers together with good amplification and a telefunken M15 A / eternal arts tape stage plus a good tapeselection.

Ps I would nt mind a wadax addition off course

Some of my pics without comments. Liked the Absolare/Rockport - Wilson VTL - CanEver Rooms the most.

darTZeel plus CS Port, what a great idea!;)

any sense of the sound of the new darTZeel cartridge? i might hear it at the upcoming SoCal show.
Mike,

Of course there were no other cartridges to compare, only the 2 darTZeel models... But the sound in that room was simply mindblowing.

I think you will want at least one of those cartridges, Mike :)
