How To Connect REL #31 To McIntosh MC901

I have two REL #31 subwoofers to connect to my McIntosh MC901 which are quad balanced amplifiers. I have read and heard two different ways to connect the REL to the amplifier:
1) Combine the red and the yellow cables of the Bassline Blue and connect to the positive speaker terminal of the amplifier. Then connect the black cable of the Bassline Blue to chassis ground.
Or
2) Connect the red cable of the Bassline Blue to the positive speaker terminal of the amplifier. Then combine the black and the yellow cables of the Bassline Blueconnect and connect that to chassis ground.

Could you please advise me on how to properly connect the REL to the McIntosh amplifier?

My personal heresy is that I think Rel are a waste of money, and their multiple connections are an electrical and trip hazard.

With that said, my experience with McIntosh product support is that they’re very responsive. If you send your request today, you should hear back from them well before the week is out … perhaps within a few hours.

Also, if you have a good dealer nearby, the dealer might be a good resource even if you bought used.
