I'm an owner of the PBD MPD-8 DAC. Currently, I have an Aqua La Diva M2 CD transport driving it, which I like. However, I'm not entirely satisfied with it and am considering a move to the much more expensive PBD MPT-8 transport (to be used primarily for its Red Book CD capability). This device isn't readily available for trial, so I'm curious to know how anyone how owns it would describe its sonic signature in comparison with other transports you've heard out there. Thanks!

The combination of MPT8 and MPD8 is the best disc player I have heard. I have owned the two for about five years. I have not used a different transport with the MPD8. If you still play CDs and have a MPD8, it is a pretty obvious move.
