Hello friends, I would like to introduce a new Turntable at this point. Analog Solutions "The Q" is the world's first mass Turntable with belt drive and direct drive.

- Horizontal and vertical air bearing with a concentric accuracy of 0.1 µm. Additional manually adjustable Delrin axis to minimize the transmission of resonances generated during playback.

- Subchassis with aperiodic, pneumatic and levelable low-frequency dampers.

- 5Kg heavier top platter made of POM, almost completely decoupled by the use of spikes between the top and lower platter. 16 kg heavy lower drive plate, which is made of different metals and a multi-compound mass in sandwich construction. This ensures that no disturbances generated by the drive mechanism can reach the pickup.

- The up to three tonearm bases are designed in such a way that the tonearm is decoupled from the sub-chassis with specially developed horizontally inserted spikes, but at the same time remains in an exactly stable position. All three tonearm bases can be covered with cover attachments in such a way that no matter in which version is heard, an unused tonearm base is never visible.

- All components are optimized for resonance and reflection freedom.

- Extremely accurate and trouble-free drive system with a pulley of 16.80 cm in diameter, which also generates the effect of a "fly-wheel".

- The direct drive motor uses a two-phase 100% pole-free torque motor with integrated air bearing. Unique in this version worldwide. There are 18,000 laser-assisted measuring points within this engine.

In order to achieve the perfect and stable speed, an axle generator is installed in the main unit, which is able to correct the speed at each of the 18,000 measuring points. Through an additional 50 times interpolation by microcontroller, we ultimately achieve 900,000 possible corrections during one revolution of the LP.

- Wow and flutter in direct drive 0.01%

- Wow and Flutter with belt-driven motor 0.03%

Das liest sich sehr beeindruckend, Glückwunsch.

Wie viele tatsächliche Korrekturen pro Seite?

Wie groß ist die Abweichung der Spitzengeschwindigkeit von 33⅓ U/min?
Of course, it is possible to retrieve the corrections from the generator. But honestly, I've never done that before. However, due to the plate and bearing construction, it can be assumed that a maximum of all 10 rotations must be corrected. This is relatively simple and logical to understand, since the air bearing for the belt drive is the same air bearing that is also responsible for direct sales. With direct drive, only the magnets are then switched on. If you look at the W&F result of both drive types in comparison to each other, you come to the result relatively quickly.

I will publish the maximum deviation on 23.05.

Greetings, Swen
