I just could not resist to get this Luxman table :D, it is in great shape and accepts both 12 and 9 inch tonearms. actually I want to use the larger option and considering a Jelco 12 inch or an SME M2 12, are there other options at the sub 1.2Kusd range that I should consider?

RS Labs RS-A1. dont own one but heard it many times falls under your budget with change to spare - maybe one of the best at any price. schick 12 incher is soo cool but that one is closer to $1500

Fernando, that's a nice TT. I would be tempted to try an ET2 with that TT, it might be a great match.

DaveyF, the previous owner had the ET2 with this table, unfortunately both units were stored for many years and the arm was incomplete.

I did some research on the RS Labs and looks promising, thanks!

oops...looks like a new rs lab arm is two grand with the rotating headshell...i guess the one i saw for 900 was used.

Was wondering about the Clearaudio Verify CF friction-free magnetic bearing.
The price seem to be more real world than the Schroeder....
If the performances are only 50% the price still only 1/5.

What pieces are you missing? I might have them.

The air conduct and the counterweight to start with, it also looks damaged/dropped - I could not tell from a visual inspection. Thanks mep

Fernando-I must be losing something in translation because I'm not sure what you mean when you say the "air conduct." When you say you are missing the counterweight, do you mean you have the plastic beam the weights attach to but you are missing the weights? Also, what parts of the arm look like they are damaged/dropped?

Another option is to contact Bruce Thigpen and let him know what is going on. If you could provide Bruce some pictures, he would probably have you either send the arm back for repair or send you the parts you need.

I will take some pics to share map, thanks for opening the option to contact Bruce.

It all looks I will get a 12 incher from Jelco, my plan is to have the EMT with a TSD15 (MC) and the Luxman with a MM cartridge (maybe an Ariston, a Technics or similar). The Jelco has a removable shell, so I can consider a third mono cartridge and get into mono recordings (which I don't own) later.... Life should be easier than this :)
