    What an ass!

I was infatuated with the appearance, never owned a foreign car before that Ferrari. I was very young and the car was very cheap by comparison to numbers I see today. Memory could have faded or I was told wrong. The shop that had it was custom but mostly American hot rods.

    What an ass!

I owned it, bought through a custom car shop that serviced it. ? The car owner was big wheel for local newspaper. I was told it’s a 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta. I know for sure it had a hand made aluminum body, so soft you dare not lean on a fender. ? That photo was taken in the...

    Cartridge for Breuer 8C MkII

I owned several Breuer tone arms and cartridges, in fact I brought them into the USA for a period of time during the early 1980s. My wife and I would make part of our European vacation around visiting him. Really interesting gentleman and great to work with.? ? The 8C MK2 is much evolved from...

Yes, Sinar DB mount, I bought a matched set of Rodenstock 75MM, 90MM, 150MM, 210MM and 305MM from the factory. I wrote them a few months in advance and when my wife and I visited we picked them up. When that shot was made there was no digital, at least not being used in commercial work and...

No, it was a standard Rodenstock 210MM I purchased in Switzerland from Sinar. For this magnification it required two sets of bellows but otherwise no problems. I used a Broncolor Hazy Light bi-tube and with 4K of flash power it produced F90 at 1 meter so no problem with depth of field.

    Totaldac versus Rockna Wavedream?

Jeffy, I have not heard the Bricasti 21, nor have I had the Nagra or Total DAC but nice to read that the Bricasti did so well. I think it’s an especially good choice for analog guys like me that don’t want to spend a mint on digital. I want my digital to be good but my main source is LP...

    Totaldac versus Rockna Wavedream?

I have never had a Totaldac in my system but we did listen to a Rockna furnished by one of the guys in my audio group. I was pleasantly surprised by it’s sound. Definitely in the top two of all the DACs we have tried. ? My DAC of choice is the Bricasti M1 SE and for me was better than the...

Need advice: Allnic H7000 or H8000 or...

Bonzo, Like all things high end audio, the path to better is disproportionately expensive :-) When I had the Allnic H-7000 I thought it was the best phono ever, I preferred it to my three box Aesthetix IO Eclipse and the Ypsilon I borrowed from Brian Ackerman. That said the H-5000 DHT is...

new---Berlin Philharmonic Direct to Disc Bruckner No.7 Box Set---order while you can!

I guess Audiogon burned me out, I just stopped everywhere. ? Some posts at Audiogon are good but all the vital info is here and everyone seems to behave as gentlemen. ? As for visit, all my Studer cards are off for rebuild, if you come in the fall it should be up and running and hopefully...
