Intriguing Comparisons and a Digital Dilemma
As I was reading the beginning of this thread, my project on building a digital system resonated deeply with Ron's initial question. While I haven't delved into every conversation, the topic holds immense interest for me.
My audiophile pursuits...
I have used to drive Vitavox CN-191, maybe 105db… was very good matching. Please try to found Amperex brass base with molibdeno plate 211 or Amperex 211D also brass base.
Well. PQ offered me Gaku-On, but considering my main speaker Tannoy Autograph with Silver Monitor 15", I preferred Shinguru 211SE. Gaku on would have been too powerful for the Tannoys also my idea was to use NOS valves. I have many United Electron 38111, WE-242A, 242C, Ampered brass base...
I read your posts and maybe my experience cal help you. I was and I´m 300B lover. During loooong time I have collected different WE-300B and currently, I have ANUK Kegon with WE-300A. But, when I experienced ANUK 211 SE amp, I understood that 211 valves are fair superior than 300B. Now I have...
Finally sold my ATM-211, have changed by Audio Note UK Ongaku Shinguru. If some one love 211, please consider ANUK…
I love Amperex 211D, but not possible to use with my Ongaku’ auto bias. I’m using with original WE-242C, incredible sound.
This is shocking for me. In ALL amplifiers, I experienced improved performance changing rectifiers. During my life, I spend time and money to find WE-274B, Mullard GZ-34 metal base, GEC 5U4, good 5R4, etc...
I read with big interest this thread. I have 2 high efficient speakers systems, first one is Tannoy Autograph with Silver Monitors and the second is Vitavox CN-191. I had the interest to use Vitatox with low-powered amplifiers. I have used Air Tight ATM-211, Nagra VPA, Allnic A-8000 (T-1610 SE...
Have used ATM-211 for years with my Tannoy Autograph (Silver Monitors) and Vitavox CN-191 and recently sold it. I used ATM-211 with United Electron 211 but Amperex 211D brass base was the best possible valve for them. Also used a Philips brass base. In my experience, the best choice was: Amperex...
Dears.
I own 4 pcs of De Forest CF-38111, these valves are 211 equivalent. I will appreciate any kind of information. These look very old. I know about United Electron 38111 but never heard about De Forest
