For what it’s worth, different systems may present different results, but I’ve had the Grimm MU1, Aurender N30SA, and the Taiko Audio Extreme all in my system. Taiko was the winner, with the N30SA being app 10-15% of it and the Grimm not even close to the N30SA. Needless to say I own a Taiko.

I find Alsyvox more realistic, more life-life. That’s the sound I enjoy most. The mids are better in the Alsyvox and I feel bass in lacking in Clarysis. I’d much rather own the Alsyvox. But to each his own.
It’s very true that every speaker must be set up correctly for one to get the best sound. That’s a given. However, can the Clarisys be set up correctly in every room? Your room and equipment is most likely different than what I heard them on. I’ve heard other speakers that I’ve enjoyed more...
I’d chose Alsyvox out of the two. The sound of Alsyvox is second to none, IMO. Don’t get me wrong Clarysis is very good, but just doesn’t make the top of the heap, IMO. Alsyvox is wonderful to listen to, and also to observe. They have it all IMO.
I have extremely good digital (streaming and CD), but at the end of the day it still doesn’t match my TT for excellence in sound. Vinyl places me closer to the actual venue. The singers and instruments “feel” and “sound” more real. On a great table vinyl is mind blowing to me.
