Do you guys trust your first impressions when listening to a system or a component? How long does it take you to evaluate?
I don't trust my first impression, I need time to get the bigger picture. I spend a week with the new component and then go back to the old component for a week and then back to the new. Sometimes repeat that more than once.- Dr Tone

Another option to test the waters would be the relatively cheap Bluesound Node 2i being controlled by an iDevice. It has line-out and digital out to feed another DAC. The line out should be of better quality than the headphone out of an iDevice. No other computer hardware required.- Dr Tone

If you have a macbook or any computer you should be able to stream direct to the MSB renderer from the Qobuz windows or macos apps using UPNP/DLNA. Or Roon.- Dr Tone

I have at least 300 DSD version of albums along with the PCM version. I haven't missed them one bit since getting the Yggdrasil. -
