    Holo Audio May KTE Dac

Only way I know is remove DSD files from the mix.

Unfortunately, DSD output is -6Db than PCM in the May. It would be nice if they could have been made the same or at least closer. I think most use the May set to NOS and send PCM and convert DSD to PCM, upsample and noise shape if you wish. Mine runs 100F or 38C. Seems fine.

Thanks all. I have built another shelf and will place them with the hotter unit on top. I presume the DAC runs hotter than the power supply?

I've got a May L3 on the way. Has anyone found any reason to separate the PS from the DAC vs. stacking them? I have wall mounted shelves for all by my amp and can easily add one more to separate them by a few inches. It seems that some space would certainly not hurt but may not help either.

Best Bass Demo Albums or Tracks

Search for Bass Mechanic. Wire the speakers out of phase and place them face to face. You'll only hear the differences and using a mono track will tell you how matched or not they are to each other.

    Cable Modems

It was unusable, with the 3.1 CM. They are accurate from a comparative point of view if not an absolute value. I know that ICMP is given very low priority but the packet loss represented in the plot matches with my empirical evidence with both modems all else being precisely equal. On the...

    Cable Modems

I've tried two copies of the Motorola MB8600 3.1 modem to replace my aging Arris SB6141. I don't need or want more bandwidth but less latency and jitter would be great. Alas Cox will only sell more bandwidth compounding the problem. The node I'm on in SoCal is so oversubscribed that once the...
