    QSA LANEDRI Series

@alwayslearning - I’m glad that you enjoyed my Prince cord. From the timings you mention plus usage on Extreme, it sounds to me like it was an earlier version using the silver plated iec. The palladium plated iec version replaced it two years ago and gives more clarity, incisiveness and realism...

    Riviera levante

@orrman - i don’t personally know but wouldn’t be surprised if both models use the same volume pot. Best shoot an email to Silvio at the factory to confirm.

    Help with choosing a streamer.

@neac1976 - I run my Baltic off a Taiko Extreme and it’s a great combination. Feel free to drop me an email and I’ll send you a video recording. With the Olympus xdmi shipping very soon, Emile will be having ex-demo Extremes coming available.

A Bucket List Wish --- A Vacation Much Overdue

@Steve Williams - that looks like a super holiday and thanks for sharing in so much detail. Is one on my bucket list also, likely for when we are no longer constrained by school holiday schedules.

    Sablon Ethernet - 2020 model

The rear of the plug has a round locking barrel rather than the rectangular clip of the older cat6a plug. Most 2020 models have a directional arrow on the heatshrinks, though the earlier ones made during the pandemic lockdown period had to use the older reserva label shrink.

Yes though I didn’t feel it competed as well as the better 6sn7 / other subs in this position

    Done but no fun.

How would you spend my money?

A quick and cheap upgrade, if you haven't already done so, would be to fit better tubes in your Pathos amp.

    Sablon Evo interconnects

Am going to give these a whirl tomorrow for a customer with an MSB dac, whose xlr jacks are mounted too close for comfort for my usual Bocchino plugs. The finish looks lovely and they have my preferred set screw mounting but space at rear of barrel is tighter than I would have liked.

My Tube Collection, Welcome to share yours

I managed to chance upon another pair of nickel e80cc for my stash. Ribbed plate, this time. Used but can’t be fussy given their rarity

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

A couple of new arrivals from @takacs75 today - az1 adapter (for a friend) and also a pair of ecc40 adapters. The latter are for my Levante amplifier (hence the off centre orientation in dac, whose sockets are aligned differently) but is easier to burn them in on the dac.

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

Audiophile Bill experimented with copper mesh tubes like this on his GG some years ago and reported sonic improvements. Worth digging out his posts and experimenting with.

    Ducati

I’ve had a couple of 1098s over the past 15 years and they were fantastic on an open road with a decent amount of throttle / revs to escape the closed loop fuelling system. Well made and reliable too but the rawness (and thigh roasting) in traffic gets you down and I recently swapped over to a...
