A few thoughts on the Spectral DMA-360 Series 2's

Just wanted to check in and see if you ever put the 360S2's back on the MBL's and how that all turned out sonically. I am also curios to know what you front end is...

A few thoughts on the Spectral DMA-360 Series 2's

Are you still running the 101E's with the 360's? I'm curious to know whether they are powerfull enough to drive those 82db inefficient MBLs and whether you have any further insight into how the sound has evolved over the last few months.

    Rmaf 2010

I didn't miss it. It was up on the second floor in the corner. They were playing a their new "Transcendants" with the Rowland amp and it sounded fantastic. In fact, I think it was one of the best sounding rooms in the show. If anyone is familiar with the Avalon Time, it has alot of it's...

    Opinions on the Magico V3?

I'm pretty sure the Sasha's would rock quite well in a spectral system. I heard that speaker on a variety of electronics and think they are real competition to the V3's. I also heard the Nola Metro Grand Reference with Audio Research Gear that sounded pretty darn good. I think that speaker is in...

    Opinions on the Magico V3?

That's exactly what I heard back in April in the same room except for the subs. My reaction was the same as yours. I just wish I had a chance to hear them with the subs, as I will have to hear them with my own hears to beleive that they integrate properly with those thin, lightweight and...

    Opinions on the Magico V3?

For some reason I have never warmed up to them, and I have heard them in pretty ideal conditions from my point of view (see post http://www.whatsbestforum.com/showthread.php?599-Magico-Q5-demo-at-Goodwin-s/page4) You also mentioned that you heard the CLX's sound fantastic in some setups...

    Nola baby grand reference

I heard the Nola Micro Grand Reference on a DCS SACD player and ARC mono blocks, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with how they sounded. Remarkably wide soundstage, great off axis response/imaging, and they really filled a reasonably sized room with music. It was like having the...

    Magico Q5 demo at Goodwin's

Sorry for being a bit late to the game here, but I just subscribed to this forum... The dimensions of Goodwins SOTA listening room is 11' High x 22' wide x 30' ft long (actually it's supposedly just a hair short of 30' - somewhere north of 29.5' as I recall). I know this room intimately as I...

    Hello from Florida

I am new to this forum, but been at this hobby a long time. have not interacted much on forums, but do spend time at Hifi shows and with certain dealers that I know in the US. This site caught my attention (found it via Audiogon) given the structured and valuable interaction I've seen on a...
