I just wrote this today.

I am listening to the RAAL SR1a headphones with my CODA 07x and new KRELL 175XD amp. The CODA #8 amp is hooked up to the speakers. On Friday, I will switch the amps between the speakers and...
I have the need for 2 amps in my office. One for my RAAL SR1a headphones, which are a little bright but otherwise extraordinary (I dislike 'normal' headphones), and a second amp for my difficult to drive Thiel CS3.7. I got a new KRELL Duo 175XD stereo amp, mostly for the SR1a but I will move it...
Can a #16 owner tell me if the amp sounds good immediately after coming on from STANDBY?
How about the current draw when on STANDBY?
Someone asked me these questions. He is wondering how it compares to his PASS X350.
The bass region on the #8 was much better than the Voyager so the CODA #8 remained and the Voyager was sold. I am rather happy with the #8 and will only upgrade if I have some free funds.
I had the opportunity to hear the CODA #16 at my CODA dealer. DestinationHiFi in Los Angeles. The dealer had a nice room with the CODA #16 and the CODA 07x. I have the 07x and #8 at home. I was there to trouble shoot something on my 07x. When I heard the dealers pairing with the streamed music...
How bad would they NS5000 sound if placed close to the front wall, say a foot or less. The room has very tall ceilings. The dealer I am talking with says that it works in such a placement. How about actual owners. Have you ever tried this placement?
I ended up getting a Benchmark HPA4 preamp and also a CODA 07x preamp. They are both amazing. The HPA4 is crystal clear and has no sound to it. The CODA is a little warmer but with all the details.
The CODA also has dual XLR outputs (I believe like the Makua). I have both preamps on the same...
It is great that you like the 07x so much. It sounds like I need to do the demo of the CODA #8 and #16 soon. I was listening to a Playlist of tunes that I had collected over the last few months. I had not played it until yesterday and on the 07x I was amazed at out engrossing the sound was. One...
Actually it was last night I did all this listening. This is in my office and I have a 5 year old and now a puppy to look after so I tend to work late at night when everyone is asleep. I listened to the first couple of albums on the CS3.7s at good volume and then the rest on headphones.
My go...
I was listening to In Thorough the out Door on the CODA 07x and was not into the music as I normally am. I listened to 3/4 of the album and decided to see if the HPA4 would make a difference. So I replayed it on the HPA4 and it sounded more like what I expected for Zep. Maybe it is just sonic...
I will add a bit more detail on the HPA4 vs CODA 07x since some of you maybe interested. I now have the HPA4 preamp setup on the rack beside the CODA 07x. Today I started streaming from my hard disk some hi-res Led Zeppelin. I was using my best DAC, the Gustard X26 Pro. However, for some reason...
Short answer - I think the HPA4 is a bit more detailed. I do not think I have heard anything as quiet and revealing as this incredible preamp. It is also a little quieter on my floor standers when the system is not playing music. HPA4 has no hiss. The 07x has a tiny tiny bit.
Long answer:
