Nosferatu, like Metropolis, City Lights, and many others, IMO cannot be remade. Poorly copied…?… using the old title to tell a lesser story….?…substituting blatant gore and childish horror for deft and subtle drama and tension?… More than likely.

Especially totally unique pieces of art that must be left alone.

Interestingly, Wilem Dafoe was in another good vampire film about the making of the original silent movie

 
As a fan of the genre I'll go see it. Christmas day release a bit amusing
