Hi-Fi is NOT a subjective hobby.

I can’t get how imaging is subjective. it’s there or not. How tall , wide and deep is factual. what is subjective if any is how the sizing is.

Hi-Fi is NOT a subjective hobby.

Gary koh of genesis speakers made a recording at his demos he even played the lacquers and vinyl he knew where everyone was. And as Carlos said he them showed us how things can be changed in a system. I think It’s wrong to say one knows where it is or should be. anyone’s system is a master...

Axpona 2024 who is going and why?

I’ve always felt the shows are for a few groups some to actually buy products and get to atleast see them playing. talk to others at the show to get alt views I think most tend to lean twards a sound they like as in there room. this is most definitely not correct in most cases so these...

    New Dedicated Listening Room

Mike L has said I think a detached room makes better sense. I did this having my place 500 miles from my family it does make sense to me to have a detached room reg the farm while that sounds great for me going to pickup stuff at farms is more manageable lol. all the best

    Clarisys Audio Auditorium Loudspeaker

Has anyone measured the capacitance at typical audio freq Same for inductance this would yield a true imp as the amp see, s it. an imp curve is suggestive for any given amp used But does not necessarily show the true specs of the acoustic conductors with out any cross overs

Axpona 2024 who is going and why?

I go to shows to hear systems and meet a few I do know. I have empathy for rooms it must be very hard to get things right. Having said this when you stop and talk to others and listen to there views. It’s easy to understand why we argue here on what’s best. this year I will make a good effort...

Sorry videos can be very useful. To say as a whole useless is not correct but to conclude a system based on one is wrong. The two views are both equally important

I’ve heard these a few times. I truly feel they can be great like avantgard are there flagship. I felt it as setup that limited them. in fact the first time I heard them I thought they were broken. I asked the manager are you going to fix this he knew and admitted and pointed to a spot of...

Audio forums are very much like politics. each knows and dislikes the others. but I give them a pass here due the cost of this hobby. this thread is a safe place for us Kedar. I’m going to post some I have when I have time. videos do show plenty if you have learned what to listen for. Carlos...

Rex get a set of ear buds Bluetooth is fine then get to know there sound and adjust there eq a bit. Mostly to me earbuds market towards boom bass. Lower bass , this mostly fixes all. do horns have a distinctive sound like panels ? I think horns and panels reproduce a sound I love. But it’s...

That is a thread we all need. I am part a what’s app private chat we always post videos. from what I have been told and tried , a cross over is a very difficult path. but if you know how to test and listen you can get to videos above sound. when I play videos I have a few things to listen for 1- stage while I cant hear the size I can hear scale And stage position. what I mean is...
