I enjoyed reading about your experience thanks for taking the time to share. I had a similar experiende where I had my main system composed of huge solid state amps, big Salk speakers, elaborate, complicated digital front end and I would blast it at concerts levels and love it. BUT when people...
honestly..all of them. just got the same cart last week. I have been scouring the internet searching mono getting everyone available. Theres not a lot. I'm in California, I have enjoyed all of the jazz and surprisingly not the Rock and Roll as much ...the Beatles, and Hendrix, Doors ( this is...
I'm not sure really I have been using a 45 for years. The past 3 months the 46. I tend to follow my heart. I read Thomas Mayers love for them. That's an influence. I respect him. I trust him. I use his gear. My experience with him, as a customer has been the best. He's very responsive. His...
In my experience I liked the type 45 more than my first watts, and more than the 300b. Every time i try amps with more power it makes me miss my type 45. Well now i'm using a type 46.
Ralph maybe something was wrong with your 45? There is lots of great builders out there. :)
I do some pretty woo woo stuff after living here in san francisco for 30 years. I’m not sure how to interpret all this. You guys are blowing my mind! Thanks.
just want to give a shout out and express some gratitude, you were there to answer all my TM questions last year as i was preparing to jump in with both feet. thank you.
cool. I was wondering....they must have made a lot of them I always see them for sale on the used market.it was rare to see the 1s and 2s. I'd like to hear one.
My Sit 2 was the amp I had the longest in my system. Then a few articles came out saying how you needed to pair it with a DHT pre. So i went through many of those trying to get the best combination. I had some great ones the best being a Vinnie Rossi with PX25 eml. I then went to a 300b...
those are for the Klipsch. but thanks! my Altecs I barely listened to I was waiting for my new crossovers. They give me the opportunity to biamp and and even add a super tweeter. I will investigate the possible diaphragm issues. I'm pretty sure GPA has all that updated Altec stuff. Plan is to...
graphite? its not the wood. Yeah I went for it. I was encouraged to spend the money and get something good, i think that made all the difference. I also had zero records. Lots of people told me not to get into it. When the question comes up on forums I always encourage people to jump in with...
I loved them when I first put them in. I had a pair of the drivers that I played around with, trying some open baffle things. I never got around to building a box enclousure for them. These showed up locally for a great price and i picked them up and sold the raw drivers. I think i have...
The Belles were stock, the horn is a MDF stacked , it came in kit form that was popular a few years ago. Then I built the "top hat" thats around the horn. Not a ton of respect for the Klipsch brand amongst modern day enthusiasts but i bet that most builders have had a pair at one time in their...
sure, Hi guys. It's all the standard TM stuff 45/2a3, 10y. LCR phono from 2018 and 2019. My amp can also use a 46 tube but i rarely do. Those are Klipsch Belle with standard upgrades-- Dcm-50 on that eliptitrac horn, and Cp 25 for the tweeter. ALK extreme slope crossovers. I have the...
