    Soulnote E-2 phonostage

Just picked up a Soulnote E2 over the weekend for my mono setup. This is the ultimate phono stage for mono with the flexibility of customizing the curves for various mono records. wouldn't have thought how big the difference would have been. Currently a miyajima Infinity mono hooked up to it...

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

4 mids including 2 tweeters. Sure doesn’t make any sense.

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

Drivers rarely go bad caused by shipping. I noticed that the upper mids are dome types vs cones from the pictures. Most SC5 I know off use cone mids. I’m not sure if earlier 5’s are dome mids. You should look into it. Maybe the drivers were not originals from the get go. Others SC5 users might...

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

My sclV are spaced 12 feet apart tweeter to tweeter lightly towed in. Sitting distance 12.5 feet from tweeter to ear. To get same placement with an SC-V the back of the speakers will be less than 6 inches from the back wall. Front baffle would be approx 3 feet or a bit more from back wall. Will...

Trapper thanks for the insight. Guess I’ll be going for the V then. What is your listening distance from your speakers?

Yes I did think of that but not sure how the subs would integrate with the speaker and the room. I’ve looked briefly at subs and found the Wilson audio watchdog interesting as it has a built in one band parametric eq. My room has a dip around 100hz and would benefit from the eq.

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

Hi guys, really late to the party... I am a long time owner of a pair of SC4 speakers. This speaker is currently the oldest component in my system. I had them since 1998 and had no desire to change them. Currently I’m having the itch to upgrade. The SC4 does everything beautifully here but I...

    Entreq Tellus grounding

As previously said, these boxes work and make a considerable difference and more so an improvement to the sound. It's difficult not to be a believer after hearing it.

    Entreq Tellus grounding

They are connected to basically the ground of the component. In most cases the chassis is the ground of the component. They do not replace the electrical ground wire. It probably works as a clean ground reference for the signal.

    Entreq Tellus grounding

Thanks for the reply Nonesup. I read somewhere some reviewer said the Everest might be over the top for some boxes. That’s why I asked. Right now I have a silver minimus/Everest hooked up to my electrical panel and that made an unbelievable difference. Now getting The Poseidon and more Everest...

    Entreq Tellus grounding

Hi nonesup, I see you have a Poseidon. Do you use the Everest on your Poseidon? Just wondering. I have a Poseidon on the way and wonder if the Everest would be too much of an addition to it. Thanks in advance

Any Allnic phono pre amp lover ?

Best rectifier I’ve used on the H3000 is the metal base GZ34. It opens out the sound. Lots of air too.

You are absolutely correct. The simple and elegant design of the AF3 is also my choice over the other 2 as I use multiple arm/cartridge combination. The articulated armboards also make setting a Tonearm less of a chore. But sonically I’m sure the other 2 bigger brothers have the edge

Hi Guys, first post here. Owner of an AF3. It’s an excellent and well thought out table. It misses out the air suspension feet from its bigger brothers. I therefore have it sitting on a vibraplane in which I think is a better form of isolation than the Built in air suspension feet on the AF1 or 2.
