    Your All Time Favorite Preamplifiers?

…but it went on succesfully with Consummate, Coherence II Series II, latest Synergy IIi, Criterion or Corus with PSU… Even the smaller latest Capri S2-SC should be outstanding. Jeff Rowland had so many fantastic products over the many years. Astonishing, that he could achieve a characteristic...

Hello, unfortunately there are not many users of the PS Audio P20 directstream power plant out there, at least I don’t really read much about it? Wouldn’t you recommend ist? I had a P10 power plant for about one year in my system. First I thought it would be very good, but after some listening...

About to get Allnic H-8000 DHT

Do all the H-8000 phono stages have the silver SUT, or is it something that came just with later units? Do you know in which years? I have just read today, that the production of the H-8000 DHT should stop in this year, 2024. Even if this was communicated some months ago, I am sad to hear that...

    Kondo M7 + SFz vs ?

Byrdparis, no regret at all regarding the CH Precision phono after all those years? Any other who has left Kondo phono stages or at least compared with other brands, especially when using Kondo IO cartridges and SFz?

    MM phono stage for SUT

Shawn, after your last reply here you seam to have switched from Kondo M7 to GE-10i. How are the differences? Really great? Just more of everything, or maybe somehow different in one or other way? As I see, you don’t use a Kondo cartridge. Was a IO-xp never a choice to think about for your...

    Kondo vs Allnic

hi, what do you mean with Kondo GE? GE-1? GE-7? GE-10? They are really in different price ranges and surely sound quite different. So what was your comparison? And can maybe other people tell about comparison between an Allnic DHT 8000 (just as a MM stage) and a Kondo GE-1 or KSL-7 Phono, if...

Audio Note UK vs Audio Japan Sonic Differences

Maybe fun, but too long with too little information. There are so many redundant self-presenting heroes on YouTube… I am sorry….

What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

and how are the differences in speed, flow, detail, all these are the real strengths of the Brinkmann 12.1, at least if it is paired with good matching cartridges.

    My Little Barn

Just a small correction: the small monitor in Gabriel’s studio is not the 310 but the Neumann KH120, a fantastic little monitor for many years. A quite new, a slightly bigger one is the KH150, that is a little revolution in this range of monitors. Yes, I can absolutely recommend to listen to the...

    Audio Note Kondo IO-XP cartridge

Byrdparis, is there a kind of magic, that you don’t find with Etsuro Gold and Sumile? Do you like the IO-XP even without matching SFz SUT (at least i don’t find it in your list of gear) more and even “more magical” than your other really outstanding cartridges? But maybe you can have very good...

    Phasemation PP-2000 vs. Dynavector XV-1t

“I could not imagine…..“ “No need to spend….“ …maybe you should really try it and hear it for yourself to believe it. Maybe then you will willing to pay more for a cartridge, too. Maybe… But of course, cartridge/phonostage synergy is important in every price range.

    Audio Note Kondo IO-XP cartridge

Unfortunately I cannot read anything about the new Kondo cartridge. Nobody uses it in his system? Thanks a lot for...

    Wilson Audio Sasha V

I love to listen to my friend‘s system with Sasha Daw and now Mephisto Stereo, earlier with Diablo 300. The step from Diablo 300 to Athena+Mephisto was really astonishing big, much more substance in the bottom region, much more controlled. Never thought to have such a good hearable difference...

https://audiocirc.com/2023/12/02/astellar-and-cart-protection/ i think, these are just pictures from the factory and audio shows, and he doesn’t have an A*Stellar on his own. (maybe not yet, who knows) But he uses many other Acoustical System products in his collection.

State-of-the-Art Recordings of Classical Works (SACDs)

The Shostakovich with Masur is really very good, today received and just heard. Thanks a lot. Maybe not as hard, dark and sarcastic as some other interpretations, more on the melodic and lighter side, but indeed very lively, well enlightened acoustics and good details.
