IsoAcoustic Speaker Isolators Vs Speaker Spikes / Component Isolators Vs Premium Products Like Critical Mass Systems

My speakers weight in @133 pounds each and so far the Gaia l’s are the only feet that will handle them. Are they really worth $1k plus Carpet feet? Is there a used market or a try before you buy for them? Thanks.

Aretha Franklin, the ‘Queen of Soul,’ Dies at 76

So sad she passed so young. She seemed to be a good person, and if she wasn't, I'm not sure I want to hear any of the dirt. I want to remember her from the Blues Brothers. JD

    SP-9 MKii update question

I’m going to start with Caps first and tube roll second. Still not keen on altering the metal, but maybe an IEC tail. Who knows. I might shelve the thing and get a Prima Luna. BTW, thanks for the ideas. JD

Tube rolling for an ARC SP-9 MKii

Thanks for the link Steve N. I’ll add them to the list. If I buy the CCa tubes and some Golden lions, it will just about double what I have in the preamp! LOL Also looking at Harma, Amperex and Mullard. One cool thing about this preamp, is the TT and the line circuits are separate, so...

    SP-9 MKii update question

Yep, either of those thoughts are doable. I’d be More inclined to solder in something and not leave a tail. Also, if I put on a tail, the what if’s about that last six inches of the original cord would bug me forever. JD

    SP-9 MKii update question

DaveyF, I’m still agreeing with you. The SP-9 MKii does not have an IEC plug, and this one won’t get one. JD

    SP-9 MKii update question

Hi Microstrip, My thought for the original post was that the power wire is about 30 years old, and I was wondering if I could improve on it. Having said that I agree with DaveyF about disfiguring the piece, but if you have any ideas about just replacing the cable with something better, I'm all...

Tube rolling for an ARC SP-9 MKii

Just got this thing and the PO put in Electro-Harmonix EH6922's. They are not the gold pinned ones, they're the cheapies. Anyway, does anyone have some recomendations on other 6922/6DJ8 tubes I should try and why? Are there any other mods you guys have done? Thanks in advance for any...

    SP-9 MKii update question

Thanks DaveyF. Those are basically my thoughts. Just got this thing and I am going to do some tube rolling (Any suggestions anybody?) replace some of the RCA jacks and maybe a cap or six. Someone did some minor mods, but it's almost stock. ARC made a MKiii update also, so I'm going to see...

The 65" isn't a movie theater, But it wasn't bad. I enjoy looking for all the little things in the background, so I'll watch it again. Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for not asking about my Chewbacca onesie. LOL JD
