PT14 Chrome Base Tubes and Zebrano TP Adapters

Up for sale are a quad of PT14 tubes and Zebrano Adapters. These have approximately 40hrs use so are like new. I purchased these directly from Laszlo and all items were brand new. Sadly they just don’t suit my system for some unknown reason. Willing to split into pairs if required. New cost was...

I would like to try the KR 242 however I’d only try used as the success rate is 50/50 from what I’ve read.

Exactly right, there is no other way to know which tubes work best until we try them. My GG uses the older 5942 engine so perhaps that has something to do with it vs the newer versions. I would have tried PX25 except I’m limited by the combined heater current draw with this balanced model

Well the PT14 tubes just didn’t do it for me in my original Golden Gate. Managed to find a set of the RK Anniversary PX4’s and in combo with an EML mesh rectifier the sound is wonderful indeed. Anyone looking for a quad or pair of PT14 tubes with Zebrano TP Adapters shoot me a PM. I got them...

No I haven’t tried either of those rectifiers but perhaps I will if I see any used ones. Once the PT14’s have a few hours on them I will test for noise. That’s a good idea thanks.

PT14 quad with TP Zebrano Adapters. Many thanks to Laszlo (takacs75) not only for a great product but he really helped me out. I was using KR Audio Anniversary 4A3 which are nice tubes and perform at a high level however these PT14’s take everything up a notch or 2. This is an old GG1 that...

Ok so now I know the best is eu-telephone 5pin. As nice as the beautiful wooden tube adapters are I couldn’t stretch the budget that far. What’s another solution for an adapter guys?

My quad of PT14 just arrived from Laszlo for my GG. Thought I was planning ahead and had correct adapters but alas I don’t. What is the base on the PT14 tubes called, or is there a source on eBay etc for adapters? Wow, that was disappointing haha
