Good. I have been at this electronics hobby thing for a few years and I have always tried to be on the conservative side with electricity - it is just so unforgiving.
I haven't read all of the other posts but I would suggest the following:
1. Run PVC piping for the wire chases which will allow you to relatively easily run more wires through these same chases later if you choose to do so.
2. Have a ground wire installed to fully and separately -from the rest...
I was thinking about possibly trying these under an Anthem AVM 90 processor, likely 1 under each of the 4 footers. The processor weighs approx. 35 lbs. distributed over 4 footers. What would the price be and what is your return policy?
What are the price of these things, is there more than one size and, if so, what are the differences and applications they are intended for and, of course, what are the various prices, ordering, payment and return information? Thank you in advance.
I regularly look for and read the various posts that appear on Audiogon and here, especially those posts that report the experiences members have had with various types of audio tweaks. For the most part my experience with tweaks has ended in disappointment - they generally don’t work at all...
I would suggest re-reading my proposal. I thought my reference to a separate circuit, a separate ground rod along with soliciting the services of an electrician was clear but apparently for some it wasn't. My goal was to try to make a useful suggestion that has worked for me and your counsel...
A possible solution to your noisy circuit would be to explore establishing a separate circuit for your listening room and then installing a separate external ground rod. You circuit sounds like it is very noise and it may be because of what you have on it. You may want to explore that. It also...
The negative effects of vibration and the various ways of trying to deal with it are somewhat new to this hobby. Conventional thinking until somewhat recently seemed to concentrate on spiking speakers. I recently tried and stayed with Townshend seismic podiums and from my experience that move...
Shame on you. You have apparently completely forgotten about the "special treatment" these discs receive the nature of which is both ill described and protected under penalty of death or worse. As I believe others may agree, I don't think this would be the first time we ever got hosed in this...
I don't mean to suggest that we shouldn't explore new things that can improve our systems. We should. What still amazes me is how a relatively tiny object you attach to a cable with blue tack can change and improve the sound from, potentially, a multi thousand dollar sophisticated system that...
For me at least the use of these things presents a couple of issues that gives me pause to think- 1. A purist would say these things are simply tweaks and don't really...
