What amplifiers work best with Rockports? What have you heard?

Thanks LL21 It was the only amp that I have liked more than my old dart…other than that…i have heard that Andy himself loves it/use it…I just had to try it. Similar magic sound (even more transparent and liquid) and with considerable better grip/bass. I have also tried Goldmund and CH but not...

What amplifiers work best with Rockports? What have you heard?

I have a pair of Cygnus myself. I have heard them with SS : Dartzeel and Soulution ( both great but for me the dart 108 was even better ) and Tubes : Kondo and Doshi ( Doshi worked perfectly and Kondo did not had the juice ). I ended up trading my long time favorite ( dart 108 ) for the doshi...

    Has Magico lost its Touch?

I used to have magicos and I still listen to them at friends systems frequently, love the m series and just chose my speakers by a small margin against m2/m3. I cant say the same about several other brands.

Jonathan Valin says the Soulution 760 DAC is the best he's ever heard. Your Thoughts?

Yes, i have tried the 760 against the msb and decided to purchase the 560 without hearing it. I ended up very happy with the 560 against the msb reference. By the way, i have also listened the 760 against the 560 with a pair of 511 driving rockport atrias 2s. The 760 is sweeter/better but the...

Jonathan Valin says the Soulution 760 DAC is the best he's ever heard. Your Thoughts?

I have been listening to a lot of amps for the past two years, some on my system (kondo, soulution) and some at stores/friends(ch,goldmund,mbl,arc,constellation,zanden…) and I was about to give up searching and keep my old darts but the new doshis just was better than my 108 on every kind of...

    Soulution 520/511 for Rockport

Hi Bob, I have Rockports myself and I have heard the atrias2 with Soulution 560/511 this week…very good. I think you cloud try an 560 dac that has an output stage based on the 520 and the new leed volume control. There was no noticeable difference (for me of course) going direct and through the...

Jonathan Valin says the Soulution 760 DAC is the best he's ever heard. Your Thoughts?

Hi everyone, I have been following WBF for some time but this is my first post. I thought it would be usefull to share my experience. I was able to test the Soulution 760 at home and since I had the msb reference dac/preamp module I was intrigued by his review. All I can say is in the context of...
