DaVa FC-A1 a field coil contender

In new model "Soul" he had to make new casing, new suspension, new field coil assembly and new stylus assembly (new winding method). Quite a journey to get to 14 grams including weight field coil.

    Popularity of a step-up transformer?

Ussually these days buzz comes from 3 main sources if to speak about SUT: 1. Tonearm grounding and tonearm itself. Some of tonearms hums by design. 2. Cable between SUT and Phono must be shielded. No exceptions. 3. Loose connections. Many years ago manufacturers used standard rca socket...

    cartridge that minimzes clicks/pops/surface noise

Mp200 has 0.4 × 0.7mil Ellipse diamond. It's not tiny one so should cope with clics/pops quite the same as Denon DL110. Maybe not as good but close to it. Do you clean diamond of the stylus from time to time?

    Abbas phono

Despite PCB it can sound good. Despite point to point wiring it can sound bad. If only point to point sounds good in your creations you have to change your principles - start learning, one day it might change.

Do Mobile Fidelity Vinyl Re-issues Have a Digital Step in the Process?

Digitalphobia has firm ground - RBCD. Lawyers are exaggerating but it's the case then lawyers just do their job. As for me Mofi always had shiny, loud HF - some declick, depop and some mastering of DSD could be done either. Maybe just a little, maybe not.

Ortofon AS-212 and FR MC201 cartridge compliance

Still have MC201 somewhere in the shelf. Also had As -212. IMO with 8-10 g headshell + FR MC201 + AS212 should be OK.

    RADA Precious One Phono

It's not very easy do describe. Although IMO if somebody is tired from Denon DL103 various modifications and wants better sound from the very beginning - it's alnico, tracks 1,9 g, more advanced stylus profile and Aidas much better made.

    RADA Precious One Phono

I do own very first Precious One silver version. So as about tubes for ps - 6X4 I like Mazda. E182CC = Valvo = Philips Miniwatt / SQ. All in European market was made in Phillips factory. Although I prefer 5687 for speed and ease of drive but it depends on taste. I can live with both. Nobody...
