Hi, do you know how to obtain pricing and from whom they may be purchased?
Thanks..
Quite a number of speakers since venturing into hi-end from mid-if.
First real leap brought Avalon Ascents driven by Jadis 200’s; which were preceded by Proac 3, Kef 104’s, EHS Tenors.
Avalon Eidelon powered by a variety of amps.
Genesis 2.5’s followed by Genesis 2. I regret having parted with...
My vinyl collection has approached somewhere over 10,000. Late 90’s and early 2000’s brought about a dearth of new releases. So I went on a multiple shopping sprees purchasing what I could get my hands on. Local record shops, online purchases, thrift stores, garage sales, etc… Occasionally...
I would like to add that swapping components, especially cables without allowing a settling, may prove disadvantageous. I typically insert a cable, play music for several hours before making any judgements. Often, a good 24 hours or so offers much of the house sound that defines the cable and...
Hi Richardp...so happy this has resolved your driver issue. I would like to suggest the screw tension might affect the tonality; so you may want to experiment with the tightness. Also, check the screws mounting the tweet's and woofers. Through normal usage, they may have worked themselves...
Is it the midrange ribbon you are having issue with? Is it crackling or vibrating? A friend here in the Milwaukee area recently obtained a pair of Gen 1’s…spectacular speaker. He was experiencing a disturbing sibilant sound from the left midrange. After much research an individual...
Thanks for sharing your experience. AudioExotic members express more than elation with the Wellfloats supporting their speakers. I was considering a set for Avalon Times, but I have difficulty obtaining price and availability.
Hi Cyclotronguy. From whom did you purchase the Wellfloats? I attempted to obtain purchase information from their website with little engagement. Are you using these under speakers or components?
Thanks, Steve
Thanks to all for the excellent input. I would ideally continue to use the Kondo, but Emia looks to be an affordable option. Regarding the Ypsilon, having no experience with it, does it perform to the level the reviewers claim? Any who may have compared it to Audionet PAM G2 w/EPX?
Thanks advanced101 and spirit. Are these options known to be sonically superior or possibly offer greater flexibility?...in that the Ypsilon is factory-set. I now own the Kondo, and should it have the potential to bring out the best of the VPS-100, I may be able to swing the cost on a used unit.
