For me with my listening habits and how I discover new music too many bumps in the road. Functionality has to be smooth. I want effortless. I may jump back to compare whatever it may be. I may play the same piece in a row from two different artists, and this might be a spontaneous thing. I don't...
res ipsa loquitur: What other Audio site can throw out some Latin? Cool! The circumstances surrounding the case makes it obvious that negligence occurred. Don't quite get it? Nosce Te Ipsum...Edit: I do get it now "the thing speaks for itself" Another meaning...
Mine doesn't blink. Will it stay in medium bias? Another option ( I don't use the green bias cable ) disconnect the green bias cable and do as I. For listening say 35-43 on the pandora leave it in medium, if you are cranking it up beyond that manually switch to High Bias...
Larry Green Bias should only work in Medium and High. Manually press medium bias. It should illuminate. Then turn the volume up on the Pandora gradually until it switches to High Bias, for me around 47-48...Then you will see how the green bias functions...
I seriously doubt XDMS With all that is happening is going to take a huge priority with Taiko. They have a very big undertaking before them and prioritizes XDMS with take a very distant place in the cue...
For sure worth it to be able to use Tidal/Qobuz without sonic degradation. I'm sure all of this will be sorted out and the best application will eventually surface. However, for those of us with limited network comprehension/ understanding, ME!! When I hear port forwarding, subnets...
If you are just leaving it in High bias all the time you're just making the unit run hotter. Why heat the amp unnecessarily if you're not utilizing the cut off of Class A? If the Pandora is at 32 your getting Class A. The whole concept of the green bias is to show you when the volume exceeds...
Larry, start off using the green bias cable. you will see as the volume increases when it changes between Medium/High. Drives me crazy when guys leave it in HIGH BIAS, your not utilizing high bias at certain volume levels. With the Mephisto/Pandora 47 changes to high bias. After I realized how...
Larry I think you can make that work. Perhaps a wood plate that covers all 4 corners on the bottom. You could use 2-4 glued together and create a 2-3" platform. You can buy cork on amazon. I would adhere cork on the bottom of the wooden plate/platform (between the floor/platform). The rack can...
This gives a better look at the brackets I mentioned...The network rack sits to the right, which isn't very visible in the pic...Somewhat of a different approach...
As Lloyd shared chassis weights certainly help with isolation. Living in a log home provides me with the liberty of attaching brackets, etc. to the 6" thick wall without finding studs. That long oak shelf sits on 2 huge industrial brackets lagged into the log wall. The only components that make...
I make all my own racks, so not very familiar with brands. Without seeing your stand/rack it's hard for me to suggest anything. If possible, glue, wood for bracing, and clamps can work wonders. (strategically placed) Also, if you're going to use what you have place rubber or some other material...
Larry don't stack the Pandora. You want them on separate shelfs. (pre/power supply) Several advantages by not stacking, including better music separation. Rune at Gryphon made this very clear to me...
