I found out it is a Bumblebee capacitor used to take the arc out of the switch when turned on. It is not needed and you can still find them used. Mine is a 400 volt, .054 micro ferret. Thanks for your interest!

There is not a problem with the signal. All my receivers get a good signal. I just bought this receiver today and the FM does not work. I opened the unit and cleaned everything that needed cleaned. The signal meter works on AM and I receive AM but FM is dead.
