it turns out with my current amp (overture),
my LV speakers sound much more nuanced and full bodied on 4ohm.
with my previous amp this wasn't the case and i've remained on 8ohm.
Hi,
As someone who had a Monbrison + Montille cv391 combo,
i would recommend Kondo.
It's not the same sound signature as it will be impossible as each component sound different especially if it's a different brand,
but it's in the same general direction if you like Musical, Tube, Live...
I've found two great solutions from Oyadie and Acoustic Revive,
and got great result with Quartz damping!
I didn't need to buy anything new as i already had the stuff.
Once in a while i get bored and do trail and error with the "Junk" I've accumulated over the years.
Acoustic Revive SIP-8Q...
LV got back to me that they tried the GAIA but they did not add anything to the performance,
So the IsoAcoustic are out.
Another option

Hello,
I been using the LV stock spikes footers with a Acoustic Revive SPU-8 combo for years now,
and was wondering if replacing them to a high praised footers such as 'IsoAcoustic Gaia III' or maybe a 'Arya audio RevOpods' will upgrade my Living Voice ibx-rw4 performance.
The Gaia III are...
Why not a d'Agostino preamp?
Wouldn't it be a better match for the Momentum?
For a jazz lover i would suggest a Kondo or especially a Shindo preamp but i'm sure how does it match with your system..
The PSM156 with a basic puritan cable been powering my system for a week now and i have to say it squeezed some more audiophile juice from my system :)
The improvements are subtle nothing major.
Most of the time i don't think i even notice but then i come across an album, in this case: "Roy...
i've only used Ethernet cables.
there's nothing special with Nucleus hardware,
-Nucleus i3 CPU with 4GB RAM.
-Nucleus+ i7 CPU with 8GB RAM.
With a tweaked roon rock OS to downclock CPU as it uses passive cooling.
There also no official statement from roon that Nucleus improves SQ.
Nucleus is...
could it be just placebo?
i've never tested the Nucleus, but I've ran the roon core on:
- macbook air intel 2019
- macbook pro 13 intel 2019
- macbook 14 m1
- dell latitude 13 laptop
- hp zbook studio 15 laptop
- intel nuc
- HTPC
with weiss 501 dac which is also a 'roon ready' streamer .. and...
i don't think "everything" makes a difference.
could be in the analog and electric domain,
but i don't think in the digital domain.
best example is a 'roon core' especially if it connected to a 'roon ready' dac/streamer.
no matter what hardware i ran the roon core on i couldn't hear any sonic...
My Weiss is now powered with 'Kondo ACz Avocado' Power cable.
Wow, the weiss never sounded better!
been using the stock 'grey power cable' that Shindo are using with their gear which sounded natural without any harshness to me, but now i understand it was limiting the Weiss full potential.
i've never heard ANUK but i can confidently say Kondo Overture pm-2i sounding better then a Shindo Monbirson (last gen)+Shindo Montile cv391 combo paired with LV speakers.
Shindo are known to have the best sounding preamps out there..
There are few space limitations of my stand (Quadraspire SVT) columns
i found a few 450x350 isolation base options
- Wellfloat 3545S
- TAOC SCB-RS-HC
- Acoustic Revive RST-38H
Looking to better improve my Kondo Overture pm-2i performance,
So i was wondering if there are any recommendations..
and Is it true over springy/floaty vibration control can "smudge" SQ especially with tube amplification?
