Pacific dac: Lampizator's new top of the line dac

Hi, I have been planning to replace my integrated with DAC and power amp for a while, see this thread for more info. I recently purchased Pacific 2 balance with VC. My current system: Roon -> Optical Rendu -> Pacific 2 -> McIntosh MA12000 (integrated) -> Wilson Sasha DAW. A few months ago, I...

Pacific dac: Lampizator's new top of the line dac

Hi Jagodak and Blake, Thank you! Yeap, those are the spikes. I did not realize that the feet have hole on them for the spike to be placed under them! My tubes are KR Audio 300? they came standard with my Pac 2. I currently have the Heater setting on T-100/300B.

Pacific dac: Lampizator's new top of the line dac

Hi, I recently purchased Pacific 2 and have two newbie questions. 1. With the standard tubes from the factory, what setting should I set the Heater rotary setting to? 2. It comes with additional footing/spikes. When would you use it? How would you use it? Is it replacing existing feet?

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

Update from the OP here. I placed an order for Lampizator Pacific 2 a while ago and it arrived two weeks ago. Prior to it, I had been listening with the built in DAC on McIntosh MA120000 (integrated) for almost two years. When I listened to Pacific 2 the first time, I had sensory overload...

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

Hi marty, Thank you for sharing your experience. I am surprised to learn that CH M10 stereo rated 900W at 2ohm is having problem that you described. CH M1.1 stereo is rated 600W at 2ohms. I am actually started to warm up with the idea of Gryphon Essence pre-amp and amp. Reading many people's...

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

Interesting, thank you for the first hand feedback. Good point, I would love to have an amp that can provide tons of detail at low volume. Hi LL21, I stumbled upon many of your posts while researching, your experiences with Gryphon are appreciated. I also saw your previous post recommending...

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

Thank you for the replies. Even from these small samples thus far, we can see that they are simply so many amps out there and people have different taste and experiences, thus recommendation. I wish I can be more specific on the sound and criteria that I am looking for on an amp...

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

My room size is smaller at about 18 square meter vs yours (24 square meter). Did you find CH A1.5 have any difficulty at all driving Sasha DAW? At 275w 4ohm, I would imagine A1.5 can handle it with ease. M1.1 mono is out my budget and curious what improvements you observed vs A1.5.

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

Hi Lee, Congrats on your Alexia V. I read many posts reporting Antileon EVO to be warm sounding, including RH on his TAS review. Apparently Mephisto and Essence are less warmer.

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

Hi abeidrov! I was hoping you saw my thread as I read your thread and saw your YT videos in the past comparing these amps that I am interested using Sasha DAW. They are so valuable and your input is greatly appreciated. From your description above, I may prefer CH over Gryphon as I would value...

Which electronics would you choose for Sasha DAW with the given budget?

First of all, thank you for all of the replies and generous time! Hi DSkip, I have. If I am going with CH route, I would prefer to go separate, say with CH A1.5 used where I will have the budget. Hi TDX, I forgot to mention that Essence is 100W @ 4ohm and almost double at 2ohm and it is class...

Dialing in my Alexia V loudspeakers, a video with Peter McGrath

I was hoping you would reply, thank you Lee. From the video, I thought the width of your room would be shorter, perhaps, it's due to all the vinyls on side and back of your walls. I look forward for your Alexia V review, it has been a while - do you know which month it will be out? In your...

Dialing in my Alexia V loudspeakers, a video with Peter McGrath

Hi, Does anyone know Lee's listening room size? I currently own SabrinaX and thinking to upgrade to either Sasha DAW or Alexia 2. My listening room size is 12' by 15' and currently SabrinaX is on the 12' side, they are 8' apart and my listening position is about 9' away from the speakers. I...
