    Tubadour V

To any owners of the Tubadour V. I was curious to your impressions after some break-in? I haven't many hours on mine. Maybe 25, but listening last night, I realized how nicely detailed with good bass and a wide soundstage it produced. I am mainly a vinyl listener and, I guess, forgot how nice...

Audio Mirror dac after 15 hrs of use

Good deal. I use the I2s connection. I heard it was the best sound and have never tried another. Perhaps I should out of curiosity.

Audio Mirror dac after 15 hrs of use

I hope you enjoy the Jays. Well built. I have owned mine roughly 3 years and have been happy with it. It does take some time to warm up. I figure 1/2 hour or so. Keep us posted after you get a chance to listen. Yours will probably be a newer model and I am not familiar with the changes...

I am also curious to see some more info on the new amps. Cooler weather setting in my neck of the woods. I am looking forward to place my reflections back into my set up for the cooler seasons. Love the music!

Audio Mirror Tubadour V / New and great sounding dac

I am enjoying the V, but not good with descriptions. Definitely not fatiguing to me. Listening to my cds, I'm hearing music I didn't notice before. I would say neutral, not bright, but detailed. Nice separation between instruments with a good sound stage as far as depth and height.

I have Vlads monoblocs also and yes they do sound nice. I am parking them for the summer and using LTA ultralinear which is tubes without a transformer. Sound good and run a lot cooler. Vlad is building some new high end equipment. I am curious to see what it is about.

Audio Mirror Tubadour V / New and great sounding dac

That's a nice batch of cds. I probably have 300, maybe 400. Just getting back into it the last few years. I have always liked vinyl but lately the cd sound is nice. Storms took out the power in my area and I am missing the music. Enjoy

Audio Mirror Tubadour V / New and great sounding dac

I don't know if I mentioned, but I use the Tubadour to listen to cds. With the V, I would say it is like hearing my cds for the first time. Sounds and layering I hadn't noticed. Very enjoyable for me. Keep us posted when you can.

You should hear some noticeable changes in the first 25 hours. Enjoy your new toy.

I haven't heard the IV. That's what I was going to upgrade to, but ended with the V. When you hear the word improvement it's hard not to go for it. Happy I did. Vlad compares the sound of the V to a Lampizator Pacific, and maybe, I believe, a lil better. If you do upgrade, give us your opinion...

DAC shopping and completely lost in the reviews

Huda, I am enjoying the Audio Mirror Tubadour V with high satisfaction. I believe it probably out performs other dacs in its class. Vlad the owner and builder would let you audition it. Good luck and enjoy the search.

Audio Mirror dac after 15 hrs of use

After a couple months with Tubadour it is sounding a better yet. I would say in the bass area. Not good with descriptions but I would say very realistic. Rivals my turntable and maybe even surpasses it in some areas. Enjoyable. I do use I2s.

Audio Mirror dac after 15 hrs of use

After approximately 15 hrs of listening, Vlads Tubadour V dac is opening up nicely. I was impressed right out of the box and it is progressively improving with use. Hearing sounds in my cds for the first time. I am predominately a vinyl listener getting started in the early 70s with Pioneer amp...

You are right about that. I hear that from many. I also own the mono blocs. They have a nice sound and plenty of power.

Audio Mirror Tubadour V / New and great sounding dac

Received the AM Tubadour V today. I believe the first off the line. I previously was happy owner of Tubadour III and decided to upgrade. I hoped for an improvement over an already great dac. With only an hour of use, wow, a big difference already! I'm not good at descriptions but will do my...
