JRemote for Android is now available for testing. It isn't complete, but it is very useable.

JRemote is a smart phone remote control for JRiver Media Center. It also runs on iOS.
We're starting to put out Linux builds here:

They're still very rough and incomplete, but they work.
JRiver Media Center 19.0 is now available in early beta at the top of this board:

Features new in MC19 include:

One of the most important new developments is our new Mac version. Here's the FAQ:

Thanks, Amir.
Clive, you have also made your position well known, and I expect you will continue to do so but why not share the love somewhere else? ;)
jkeny,
For someone who finds JRiver at least somewhat inferior, you are certainly spending a lot of time in this JRiver thread. Maybe you could find another place to express yourself. You've made your point.
Here's our wiki topic on DSD:

and here's the list of features:

Uh oh. It uses Google Images and the safe search there, but sometimes Google makes mistakes. It's a weird world.
Ah. I've heard of it.
We've had a team of 5 to 8, working on ours since 1998. We started on it when the Diamond Rio came out.
Ours is bigger. ;) Seriously, if you can provide feedback about what you found lacking in our player, I'd be grateful. I'm jimh at jriver.
I had to go digging to find out what the product you built was. I guess this is it:

Except for the FUD part, I completely agree. But there is a very vocal contingent who believe that bits are not always bits.
The timing problems people believe that USB introduces can be corrected or not by the DAC. A DAC should buffer and use the bits with it's own clock.
This information is suspect. rhbblb signed up to post about jplay and seven of eight posts are about jplay.
JRiver has asked jplay to remove all references to JRiver from their site. So far, they have not done so.
The players have no ability to affect any timing or other issues with the digital signal. They just fill the buffers of the interface and let the hardware do its job.
If the hardware interface isn't perfect, that's an issue between the PC and the DAC, and it would affect the sound of both. A...
I believe you are saying is that digital is perfect. I agree.
Your comment about "mixed domain" must refer to analog.
All media players operate with digital data. The "mixed domain" begins at the DAC. No media player controls what happens at that point. The media player doesn't even know...
I put a few pictures of the show here:

Gordon Rankin of Wavelength Audio is in the sixth picture with his wife, Kelly.
For testing purposes, uninstall Jplay. It has caused problems, including crashes.
Are there any other sound problems with JRiver using your ASIO driver?
ASIO is good. ASIO4all is Kernel Streaming with an ASIO style wrapper.
