I find it hard to believe a spectral amp would oscillate if using a spectral preamp and competent cables. Their preamps monitor this and would shut down if it was upstream or in the preamp. A well shielded cable, especially balanced xlr should be totally safe to connect the preamp and amp.
I would try the benchmark audio digital xlr. Canare digital design. Moderately priced for a 6’ cable.

Ron have you read Scott Frankland's comments about EL34 tube and designing an amplifier to take advantage of the EL34 properties?
https://positive-feedback.com/Issue14/franklandinterview.htm
Its a nice read and keeps me interested in EL34 based amplifiers and tube amplification in general...
I am eligible for several one steps. I decided to let it be. I have 2 unopened Abraxas, they might be worth more on eBay. Nightfly is a digital lp. I think have three more from the earlier one step releases.
Ron have you tried any of the older Cardas?
Golden Cross in particular can be a wonderful cable as a single cable to tune a system. I have a set of Golden Cross XLR and Neutral Reference XLR. Both have their charms.
I would upgrade to Apex and then live with it. Personably if I had your problem I would keep it. DCS has a lot vested in Vivaldi. More updates to come is my guess.
Single box I would consider Playback Designs. Linn is on my shit list.
Painful. I would get onto GTT Audio. GTT audio actively promote the brand and you are not receiving adequate service. I would say they are in it up to their necks. Don't give them any wiggle room.
I had a poor product experience from a dealer and I wish I would have put the wood to them when I...
The above makes sense and is clear that you have made selections based on your systems and the desired outcome.
I would not think to replicate what you have done. I am more interested in your personal experience with your large curated inventory of unique equipment and the pieces you have...
I have enjoyed reading your remastering sessions.
Do you have a single piece of equipment that is essential to your process? It would be interesting to take a deeper dive into the analog remastering chain and what you have experienced in using each piece to its optimal result.
I like how Robert discussed the TT, Cartridge and Tonearm. Left out the Simaudio 810LP he has had forever. No cable discussion.
He must be looking for the CH phono and new cables.
Anyone try the Mercedes EOS line? I have a thing for not liking Tesla. I get most on the forum love their Tesla’s, I am happy for you.
I may get the new Prius to bridge to retirement. My CLK 500 is getting long in the tooth but I do like it.
Given you need controls on the front, the Esoteric would be my choice. Depending on your cartridge the loading choices available might make all the difference in which unit you choose.
Uaually once gain and load are dialed in you wouldn’t need the front control. I get that you want what you...
Did you install a 30 amp line for the 2160? The 3060 is something but I find the 2160 more than adequate. The 3000 series preamp is a unique preamp that is worth trying if your dealer can arrange.
I just finished a stint of taking the Io out of my system and using an Ayre P5xe solid state phono. I found I was listening when the moment was available as the Ayre is always on. No warm up, just sit and listen. One side of an LP was sometimes all I can get between work and family with a young...
Harbeth should be on your list. Part of their tuning.
I have the M40.1 and they excel at sounding integrated and full at your lower listening levels. Try to demo a pair of the latest if this is your primary requirement.
Since you are located in the EU, Gryphon has always had some muscle for driving difficult loads. Soulution is going to be a good bet as noted earlier. I would try to stay with EU manufacturers if possible.
Your dealer should be able to let you demo the higher end integrated. He should be vested...
I am sure there are answers all over the place.
Detail examples: Lyra, Ortofon
Musical examples: Koetsu, My Sonic Labs.
I am turning into more a a Koetsu guy with my headphone only system.
Congrats on the Klyne. They are legendary. I think Stan kept improving his design.
I just put an Ayre P5xe in my system. This was my first phono. It’s been in for a few weeks. I really enjoy sitting and listening to any record whenever I want. No warm up, it’s always on and ready. This is an...
