Electronic music: A great way to test your system, work out, file taxes and more ?!

It fits the thread, no worries :) Of those 3 sets of speakers (that I see, correct me if I am wrong), which one is actually playing?

    Audiophile Fuses

For the avoidance of any doubt, i re-inserted the amplifier fuse in opposite direction for a test: The sound stage collapsed, overall volume was a bit lower and dynamics were slightly off-pitch. So within 5 minutes, I changed the directionality of the fuse back to the default I had and now I am...

How Do You Think About Cost/Benefit Analysis for Your System?

I think you value the benefit comparatively. i.e. you could spend 150k on the best cables which most likely will marginally improve your system's performance but most people would rather spend that kind of money on a new car or a piano or house restoration or something else where the benefit in...

What cables are you using in your system ?????

Running a full stack Cardas Clear Reflection. I feel they are in a sweet spot price/performance wise. Any other cable series i would consider costs 2-3x the price. I.e. I was using Nordost before and was hesitating to upgrade to Valhalla but it was just not proportionate to the overall cost of...

    Audiophile Fuses

As second feedback after listening to those fuses for a while now (50-60 hours of music played): I can confirm my initial assessment. - There is additional layering in the music. I hear nuances, especially in the lower frequencies that were not as distinctive before, the bass is not deeper...

    CH Precision compared to Nagra

I have not heard CH P myself but only read and hear great things about their electronics, also the features to adjust the feedback etc. seem to be a real game changer. When it comes to Nagra, I agree with Zeotrop that If you already own the Tube Dac and you like the sound, in terms of synergy...

Stack Audio SmoothLAN ethernet isolation filter

Question: If one has an optical connection (i.e. galvanic isolation) between renderer and DAC, does it make sense to also use LAN filters, linear power supplies etc. before the renderer to clean up the signal ?

    Audiophile Fuses

Ok, the manufacturer put a label with an arrow on the fuse to indicate which way to put the fuse i.e. there is a correct way to install it without the necessity to listen to it and change directionality, am i correct or do you recommend to test manually to make sure? Thus far, the sound seems...

    Audiophile Fuses

Hello, Thanks for the advice, appreciated. The proper direction is from outlet to the device, right? My fuse holder looks like the below , hence i presumed i have to put the fuse in with arrow up. Am i missing any ambiguity here, do i have to test it?

    Audiophile Fuses

Thank you, happy with what I hear so far. To note is that I replaced the standard 5A fuse in the amplifier as well. So I am not sure about the A-B comparison with the AMR fuse in the power supply. If I find time to spare I might investigate that.

    Audiophile Fuses

Dear all, I am a sceptic by nature and didn't think fuses can make a big difference but due to the relatively low cost and good results reported by trustworthy people, i ordered some entry level fuses to try. Got the fuses below yesterday and put them in my Nagra MPS power supply and...

Indeed, any cable will alter the sound and it's always a compromise. It's just the Accuton diamond drivers have a reputation to be I agree, cabling is always a trade off and they all alter the sound to some extent. The Accuton diamond drivers have a reputation to be brutally honest and...

    Introducing My System

Nice experience, thanks for the elaborate review. In terms of the brightness of the diamond Accuton driver, i’ve had a similar feeling when auditioning the Parker Duo w/ Jorma cabling. Which source and cables are you currently using? Possible for you to listen to the same Vivaldi in London...
