It is my understanding that Ron bought these speakers some years ago. And that his new listening room was finished a few months ago (stunning looking room by the way). In my view the best way to find the right speakers for a room/ system is always to try them at home prior to a purchase. One...
The Kondo is long gone. I downsized and needed a brake from the hobby. I am now «back» and new speakers are due in september ( Franco Serblin Accordo). Reg the Kondo: It is not worth USD 35.000 IMO for its sound. Superb amp, but as good or better can be had at a much lower price. It also needs...
Joseph Audio speakers are very, very good and have always sounded musical. I have previously owned the Pulsars and the Perspective. Even at shows he manages to get great sound. I have not heard the Graphene models but I suspect that they are even better.
Then add a Pass integrated and be done...
Great cables. I have owned Chime, Uno S and their top level grounding cables. Sold them, why I do not know…. Could have kept them and been happy. Ah well…
I have heard FM acoustics several times in Munich. To be honest I have not been very impressed by those systems. Extremely expensive stuff. This proves that tastes in sound can not be discussed, you loved FM, me not so much. Nothing wrong in that!
I have an acoustically well treated dedicated listening room and the speakers placed where they sound their best. I have used almost all « tweaks» thinkable from power conditioners, cable lifters, footers, spikes, high end racks, etc etc. And very expensive cables.
Now I am listening in the...
I am using the Mogami 2497 with KLE silver RCA between my CD transport and dac , a very good cable. I have changed all cables in my system from very expensive high end cables and I am now using only Belden 9497 and Mogami IC`s. Very happy and a lot of money saved. I am done with expensive...
Regarding Kondo in Munich; For some years they teamed up with a German loudspeaker brand in a large room. IMO you can not judge Kondo based on what you heard there. It sounded ok, but clearly the system was underpowered with Kondo amps. Kondo makes marvelous sounding equipment, but needs to be...
I have used both silver and copper cables from Kondo, in my opinion they make great cables. Have used them with Kondo amps and other, always with very good results. IMO!
On another note: I have come to realize that very expensive cables are not neccesary to achieve great sound. I now use a...
Better be carefull and wait. I hired two movers to carry my 200 pound speakers down the narrow stairs to my listening room. Well worth the money.
Congratulations and good luck!

I couldn`t agree more. Class D done right sounds very musical and without a sound that many associate with typical "class D sound". Such as listening-fatigue, dryness, etc. I experience none of this, my system sounds more like a tube-based system. IMO!

The Dueundici is a superb amp if your speakers are efficient enough. Super sweet sounding, open and just great. Then a pair of Mullard EL 34 xf and a pair of Mullard CV 4003 and never look back.
The Dueundici is a real single end triode amp, SET. The Dueventi is not.

I cannot imagine that the current best Class D amps sounds better that expensive high end Class A and tube amps. I do not think so. But they have gotten really good and many manufacturers find good solutions on how to build the latest gen of Class D.
I am hearing very good things from my own...
Indeed it is. But I guess he could be right. Since 2 months I have been using my new Class D poweramp ( The Primare 35.2) and it sounds superb with my Magnepans. Sweet, natural, no noise, no warmth to speak of, no warm up period etc etc. I have used tubes, Class A, Class AB over the last 40...
You should check out the Absolare integrated in the Signature version, superb amp and will save you a lot of money. The best from tube and solid state combined.
Good luck.

Maybe they have holiday now, many factories in my part of the world close a few weeks during the summer.

"Gone under"?? My understanding is that they have been very busy with very long delivery times as a result. Probably also a lack of components because of the C 19 pandemic. But "gone under"? I think not.

There is no need for such comments on Mike`s journey and his choices. If he has (and obviously he has) the possibility to buy his dream components in search for musical pleasure it is great and I find much joy in reading about his room and system. Mike seems like a very generous and friendly...
Roy;
So what you are really saying is that most reviewers do not serve their readers when reviewing equipment? Or the equipment so that it can perform as good as possible? In that they do not optimize their systems by changing the positions of their speakers etc when a new product comes in for...
I just bought a CD transport and find great joy of playing my old CD`s. I have a lot of them! This after a few years of streaming from Tidal/Roon only. Tidal is great of course, but I seem to be on a constant search for new music when I stream. Which makes for a somewhat stressful listening IMO...
I have used the Innous Zenith mk 3 ( with 2 TB SSD HD)for 3 years without any issues, great device. I also have the Phoenix reclocker, made a big improvement here.

This speaker is clearly posisioned for the extreme high end luxury market. But USD 175.000,- for a pair? I do not doubt that they sound very good, but is it at all possible to explain why they are this expensive?
