My experience with B&W 800 Diamonds and 802Diamonds has been very good but yes they do need good amplification.
My system is http://www.avsforum.com/t/1511029/my-humble-set-up
I own the Sonus Faber Elipsa SE I used to have them hooked up to Classe CP-800 and CA-2100 the sound was nice but a bit clinical. I then borrowed a Prima Luna integrated tube amp and oh my god! They came alive the sound was so much richer the music became like real instrument where playing in my...
Yes and I will never touch any of their products again, they have the worst customer serv ice never return emails and you have to call multiple times to Ge a customer service on the line!
I have been thinking about doing the same thing except, the issue is that I could see my kids wanting to borough the laptop to play games!
I like the Mac mini idea better I can get 1TB of SSD with it additional ram and can hook up the HDMi in addition to the USB
Antimode Dual Core
Justus, impressive background
What do you think of Antimode Dual Core or DSpeaker Anti-mode 8033? I listen primarily to MultiChannel SACDs and BluRay movies
Question wit out taking $ in consideration what do you think

So here is something interesting that I learned on the B&W 800D series
"In the B&W 800Diamond series the only electrical connection between the midrange/tweeter circuits and the woofer circuits is the jumper wires or plates at the speaker terminals. So if one remove these links, the woofers...
So if I understand correctly unless one has active biamplification it is useless in passive crossover!
I don't need more power, except I am tempted to try these out ? http://shop.emotiva.com/collections/amplifiers/products/xpr1
Any opinion?
Thank you, yes i think that messing around with opening up the 800D would not be a wise decision, at least for me!
For movies I would say 95db max except when there are explosion, for music probably 85db if that
Great but honestly, I don't think I ill mess with the 800D and try to put active crossover by opening the base!
I am not qualified to do so and would worry to do more harm than good, so the question still remain with passive crossover like in the B&W 800Diamond is it worth bi-amping or should...
Thank you, I don't see myself messing with the passive crossover inside the B&W 800 Diamond, that would void the warranty plus I have no idea what I am doing :)
So if don't add an active crossover is it still worth it? to do Stereo amps or Monoblocks
The cabinet is completely open in the front and back so the heat doesn't accumulate. Also the CA-M600 have really cool technology "
"Heat management in Classé’s new Delta series amplifiers is providedby the ICTunnel™ (pronounced Icy Tunnel), a sensor- and microprocessor- controlled technology...
