Thank you !
Yes, very excited here to be the exclusive UK custodian of Atlantis Reference, in partnership with distributors Boyer Audio. My UK demo units will be arriving soon and I will be posting some writings very soon on my website...
I would be happy to link back here when everything is published. Should be quite a long article. Still yet to experiment with footers and grounding. There is even more to come for sure.
You should definitely experience the Bugatti Royales. Really quite an astonishing experience and a testament...
Thanks AC. We installed everything in one go but I have been swapping out/removing power supplies, cables etc. and also reverting to my best USB vs. the Akasa optical, to understand how the various parts all dovetail together. Also of course, files vs. Qobuz. I will be writing all my findings...
Dear Wadax fans ... just wanted to share my enthusiasm and a few pictures of the full spec Wadax Reference setup which I am currently hosting here at my dealership in London. It's my great privilege to engage with this wonderful equipment over an extended period, and I am having huge fun...
The 030 is indeed a fine achievement and the form factor that everyone wants especially here in the UK where space is tight and systems have for years been dominated by complex multi-box setups that end up taking over the entire house.
We have sold a handful already, another black one just this...
Hi Guys, just a short message to proudly announce that Tidal Audio is now exclusively available in the UK through me, Lotus Hifi. I'm extremely excited to be involved with Tidal and Jorn and of course I am a huge huge fan and admirer of the Tidal way of doing things and all their wonderful...
Hi Guys
Does anyone run this combo or have experience ?
Looking at the stock FR-S3 headshell which has a tall lip at the front (and all the way round) it looks as though the Koetsu Jade might be a tight fit and I may not have enough front to back latitude of momvement to achieve the correct...
No vested interest (not one of my brands) but I had the standmounts on extended loan recently and they were absolutely stunning. Ultra transparent and they totally disappeared. Tone, balance, driver integration also spot on. Would love to hear the Extreme.
It's a shame more has not been written about it. Aside from the low output which isn't considered ideal with today's technology, I find it's performance to be absolutely stellar. This weekend I moved it over from a Reed 3p to Talea II and it's sounding even better.
It seems to be the Etnas and...
I didn't say it's 'wonderful', I described some of the unit's strengths which are polar opposites of what you experienced. I am drawing attention to the strong likelihood of your sample being faulty in order to help bring some clarity to this thread. Regardless of whether I am a dealer, user or...
That sounds very unlike an H3000. The opposite in many ways. The 3000 is natural and fluid (not etched) and has body aplenty with great depth, space and holography.
The thing is, one man's defined/firm/tight is another mans hard/etched/mechanical etc..
If you want more of those things then you can use the Allnic head amp in conjunction. For me it takes it to another level altogether.
That said, many customers in the USA prefer the H3000 without the head...
Yes, take the built in suts out of the equation and the H3000 becomes a beast of a completely different order ... adding in the strengths of the best transistor designs; speed, purity, immediacy and precision.
Some do prefer the relaxed, everflowing, softer and warmer presentation of the bare...
Hi, its just a wide angle lens thing ... an illusion also enhanced by the fact that the top of the beginning part of the wand also rakes upwards at an angle.
The mounting plate is completely flat flush to the wand and secured tight. The overhang and azimuth are perfect, it sounds delicious ...
I have an HFC Ct1 ultimate coming for my Durand Talea II --> HA3000 as well (with breakout box). Should be interesting, I am hoping for big things as the signal is so small and precious here.
Hi Rockit ... gald you are enjoying the head amp, it is quite a special piece IMO. I personally love what it does.
I have never had any hum issues with Rick's HFC cables and the head amp or any of the phono preamps. As Rick uses a full Allnic DHT system you will I'm sure, encounter much synergy...
For sure, mine is just another opinion, biased as you say like anyone else's because of my room, listening tastes, music and partnering equipment (rather than any business orientation I might add).
I merely elucidate the point that the H3000 is a fair bit cheaper than the very similarly...
Try the allnic with the allnic head amp. Still less money than the Ypsilon but a whole different ballgame over a stock H3000.
H5000 and Ypsilon not even competitors IMHO.
Good stuff. Hope you enjoy it.
Did David talk to you about Rick Schultz's cables ? Now you have some Allnic machinery you might give them a try too. Pretty amazing cables, certainly the most sigificant design I have ever heard.
Yes wait till you try the HA3000, you may find that you regain any solid state advantages that you lost. There is also a sense of immediacy, pressurisation and presence that you don't get with either.
My 5000 is being reviewed. My 3000 is out on home demo too. I am missing them both, making...
