Grimm MU1 vs Aurender N30SA vs Taiko Audio

Yes it's polite for sure, but please tell me you were using the AES output and not USB when you initially evaluated the MU1. The MU1's magic is only realized via the AES output.

New Kronos Turntable - The Sparta 0.5

Hi Peter, no I have not, that is tough to do. I have no SME turntables currently on hand. I know we all want answers on "What's Best" He He, but it is next to impossible. Looks, serviceability, fav dealers, tonearm options etc also get in the way of what's best. The SME's are SME's if you...

    Dual Arm AMG Viella

I really did not want to do the second arm option as I thought it would ruin the tables beautiful looks. I decided to go for it and now that I have seen it in the flesh it actually looks kinda cool. I currently have the AMG Teatro in the 12" and the Benz LPS Mono in the 9.5". Here are a...

New Kronos Turntable - The Sparta 0.5

I have been playing with the 0.5 for a few days now and it sounds as good as it looks. I think it will compete nicely against its rivals the 20/3 and AMG Viella. The AMG has the advantage of being able to be used with all three 9, 10.5 and 12" arms ( the Sparta max's out at 10.5) as well as a...

Is there something obviously wrong with my electrical?

Replacing my power conditioners with three dedicated 20 amp lines was the best thing I ever did to my system, except maybe a Tenor amp... ;-) Oh and a Kronos turntable! Sorry couldn't help myself with that last bit! Thanks for the update Peter, so glad to hear. Ian deserves the best.

Is there something obviously wrong with my electrical?

With only 50 MPro's made, I doubt very much Devialet will ever have an MPro SAM offering. But, the idea is a cool one. I love the Devialet products and SAM, but wonder how on earth they can make the MPro's any better! Ian, how are things going with this whole power thing? let's catch up over...

    Dartzeel vs. Tenor audio

Can't wait to get mine too, probably a few weeks after you. I do have one to play with but it is an older prototype and not close to the current production model that is dead nuts quiet, super detailed but most importantly - it just makes music. Oh and Sam those HP's look awesome. Mike...

Ian you may be right but regardless of where the anger starts, lets all put it away and enjoy our favourite music on the system we have decided to enjoy it on! Ian, your system sounded fantastic to my ears, perfection is hopefully just around the corner. And although I didn't find your room had...

On the 12th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

Agreed, the biggest difference between live music and reproduced is not frequency response, warm or analytical, detail or distortion. It's dynamics, and will probably always be.

On the 12th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

I have always liked to use the word calm to describe Magico. A function of a lack of distortion. So... Yes I agree with what you are saying big time. But, I would just like to add that efficiency is obviously very important when contributing to Explosive dynamics. I believe everything audio...

$100K Tables - TechDAS AF1 vs. Walker Proscenium? Which sounds more like real music?

Yes 1/3 the price. I have had really tough time trying to explain the sound of this table. Its so smooth and quiet, but not boring. Tons of boppity bop and life, but not forward. Super deep bass, but not bass heavy. It just sound so right to my ears, I love it. At 1/6 the price, I am...

The first pair are going to a lucky someone. The same will most likely happen with Pair #2. I'm a dealer so obviously the plan is to sell them, but boy do I wish I could keep a pair all to myself.

Thanks for the update Tand. By the sound of all the reports coming in the Big M's are going to be incredible. I wish I could just keep my second pair I have coming in but I better be smart and sell the to some lucky owner. Hmmm what if I just keep em for a few months!

    Hint of new Magico products

Peter, I doubt anyone will get to audition these. I would imagine that most dealers that still have a pair available will probably sell them before they are shipped. If that doesn't happen they may also be reluctant to open and put them on the floor because of the potential of less profit due to...
