I'm planning to get the switch and an external clock. I am really keen to understand how two switches will produce a better results than one switch. My TAD DA1000 sounds a click just before a track starts and just after it stops

It may not be a fault but it is a flaw, as far as i am concerned

My TAD DA1000 sounds a click just before a track starts and just after it stops

Sencha, apparently this click isn't a fault. All TAD DACs and CD/SACD players do this

My TAD DA1000 sounds a click just before a track starts and just after it stops

Stereophonic, can you please explain how the delay stops my DAC from clicking. If i can do that with my SoTM sms200 ultra it would be just the ticket. Does anyone here know whether that is possible?

My TAD DA1000 sounds a click just before a track starts and just after it stops

Thanks DaveC. I just ran another test and the clicking happens when one track stops and another one starts even when both are same format and sampling rate A previous responder to my query on the Digital audio forum suggested that the click might be happening due to a problem with the mute...

My TAD DA1000 sounds a click just before a track starts and just after it stops

I previously posted this query on the Digital audio forum and got a potentially helpful reply with a plausible explanation of why i might be having this problem. I am posting it here again in the hope that other TAD DA-1000 users can offer further assistance My TAD DA1000 DAC makes a clicking...

TAD DA1000 click just before playback starts

My TAD DA1000 makes a clicking sound (it sounds to me like a relay engaging but I'm not sure) that i can hear just before (circa 0.5 seconds) the DA1000 starts playing a track and just after it stops. I mostly use it to play music via the USB input but this occurs with optical inputs not just...

Just to clarify, are you saying that the S-102 is better than the SIA-025?

Can you explain what you mean?

My original setup consisted of a Bryston BDA-1 DAC, a BP-26 preamp and a 4Bsst power amp. I recently upgraded my BDA-1 to a TAD D1000 which has a variable output so I disposed of my BP-26 preamp and the improvement was immense. I don’t really need an analogue pre-amp in my setup so the question...

Thanks again for your invaluable advice. The next step is to arrange demos starting with the TAD and Vitus amps. Very exciting! In relation to the Vitus sm-011, unfortunately I cant really afford it. The Vitus SS 102 is more affordable and is available second hand. The Vitus dealer who hasn't...

Thanks Sly30. I am really grateful for your advice! I would love to get a Vitus SM-011 or a Burmester 911mk3 but I cant afford to buy it new. Maybe one way is to buy second hand. Is that a good idea and if so, where should i look?

Both suggestions sound amazing but i might not be able to afford it :( Thinking of other options, I've seen the M2500 being warmly recommended and it's within my budget. Is that a winning combinations? My current amplifier is a Bryston 4Bsst2 and I was wondering whether anyone has heard the...

Did you hear the CR-1s driven by the M2500 or the M600 amp?
  16. Y

    Tad cr-1

I am guessing the CR-1s aren't exceptionally easy to drive. I'd say it is hard to match an amp to a speaker based on load and impedance alone, isn't it?

Thanks for the heads up. Would you recommend any particular Burmester or Vitus amp?

I've been hearing many great things about the TAD CR-1 speakers. Are there CR-1 owners out there who could advice on or recommend a power amplifier that will get the most out of these beauties?
