Excellent wine ready to drink. Color is dark ruby red with the barest hint of brown at the edge. No sign of blue. Nose is not powerful out of the glass, in fact not very strong at all (rather surprising.) Flavor is fully mature Bordeaux. Tannins are completely resolved. Flavor has good tartness but is not at all sour. Still plenty of sweetness of fruit. Extremely well balanced. Not the least bit bitter. Quintessential Bordeaux drank beautifully straight from the bottle from the first sip. Decanted for about half an hour but about the same as when initially tasted. Well worth the $20+ I paid for it and the wait. 6 left. Working my way up from the least valuable drinkable left in my cellar
Drunk with pan fried NY strip steak. If this was my everyday drinking it would be hard to resist. Excellent but not outstanding. Still a very pleasurable bottle of wine. Sipping as I type.
