Had the opportunity to see "A Complete Unknown" yesterday afternoon. Much better than I had expected. The four main characters Chalamet as Dylan, Babaro as Baez, Norton as Pete Seger and Fanning as Dylans early girlfriend all admirally pull off their roles. Chalamet's singing was okay but Barbaro was great as Joan Baez.

They did a good job of not trying to cover Dylan's entire career and just focused on his breakout early folk years and up to the point of the 1965 Newport Folk festival. That is when Dylan abruptly swapped his folk persona for a full band and electric guitar. He wanted to expand his options.

The ebb and flow of Dylan's and Baez's relationship, at least from her perspective can be summed up in Baez 1975 hit "Diamonds and Rust".

It was a a packed Christmas audience with definetly a Boomer vibe to it.

I want to see this, looks descent. Check out The Order, its available now, Jude Law at his best.

We also really liked the movie. Not much of a story; more of a montage of his early ascent. It will be criminal if Edward Norton doesn't get an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Pete Seeger.

My wife and I saw it today and I have to admit I enjoyed it as it brought back memories of that era. Chalamet was an executive producer. I thought he played Dylan well It really was a repertoire of his early music…. the music which really launched a career.

I agree with Jazdoc about Edward Norton as Pete Seeger

Everyone in the theater was an old fart ( like me) who could recount where they were through all the story.

Definitely worth seeing
