And a little fun...

My 8 year old: Daddy, I didn't know you were a dummy
Me: What do you mean
Son: Mommy told me, long ago, you used to read those books For Dummies

Speechless

For the longest time, I could not bear the thought of buying one of those books! For the same reason.... :) It has been a phenomenal marketing campaign for them so what seemed to be totally wrong to me, clearly resonated with many people. It was not until I read one of those books that I realized the angle they were going after and now I don't mind owning them....

Not to mention that I only had just two. Still plural I guess

Which ones?:)

I've bought a few through the years and mostly on Win OS' and I think Photoshop, although that could have been another publisher. Not sure.

Photography was one of them; I think the other may have been wine. I think we should turn this thread into The Darnest Things Kids Say; maybe I should also start another thread... High End Cables For Dummies

Speaking of the cute things that kids say....I get home tonight with my speaker cabinets, completely gutted of all of the crossover components and drivers. My son pokes his head inside one of them, turns around to my other half and asks...

"Mommy, where did the music go?" Too cute.

I have two for Dummies books and both of them are for computer related stuff. I'll be the first to admit that I am a complete dummy when it comes to these things, although I have gotten better. I'm still in awe that I actually ran a business with one.
