Hello. Please help me to choose a suitable solid state amplifier for my Cerwin-Vega! CT-330 stereo system. I'm gonna buy a used model from german ebay.
I use PC to play music. I'm going to buy a turntable some time later, but that's a different story.
The speakers are connected to AIWA NSX-R72 now.
DAC: ASUS Xonar Essence One Plus Edition
Cables:
Rexant Speaker Cable 2x2,5mm2 (01-6108-3) 130007
Proconnect Speaker Cable 2x2,5mm2 (01-6108-6) 152027 036M
I'm also trying to solve the problem with connection of Sony SA-WMS7 subwoofer. There's a deep bass going from from Realtek ALC889A (7.1) integrated chip on PC (the subwoofer and the speakers are connected parallelly to the source). But when I connect the speakers to the Sony SA-WMS7 subwoofer and then the subwoofer to AIWA NSX-R72 amp (the subwoofer and the speakers are connected in series), the bass is hollow. First I thought that an amplifier with subwoofer support will solve it. But I expect the bass from that kind of source to be hollow again. Most likely only the sound card with 7.1 support will do. I'd like to hear your opinions about it.
Yeah, I know. What a lame gear I have here. I don't have enough money to buy super hi-end stereo system at the moment. This will be my first amp. So that's what I'm dealing with.
