Antipodes EX combined with DX3

i own an Antipodes DX3 and am happy with its SQ. Now I am offered an EX which should even enhance the qualities of its predecesor, when playing as a renderer in combination with the DX3 as server. I know this goes for the CX-EX combination, but wil this also be true for the DX3-EX combination?
