The BBC has just announced it is to launch a paid for version of iPlayer in America as part of a major expansion of its commercial activities.
The Chairman said the subscription service would ofeer US viewers "programmes they wouldn't otherwise get, shocasing British actors and our programme makers and celebrating our culture."
The launch of the US based iPlayer follows the £129m sale to US firm AMC Networks, makers of Breaking Bad, of a 49.9% stake in BBC America.
No more info at the moment so don't know if it will br just TV or will include their FM radio broadcasts.
