I was doing some research earlier today, on the best and worst audio forums from their respective audio websites.

I'm already familiar with a bunch of them, and discovered quite some info over the years;
but there are so many of them that it is simply impossible to know all of them.

So I can only relate to the ones I already know and from my personal experience in frequenting them and in interacting with their members, plus the overall set of operations and goals of their creators and associates.

Our world (outside) is real complex, and full of beauty, and also deceptions and corruption.
The internal world (cyber space) is very similar actually.

We have a set of laws that were voted by men in power; in real life. ...And each country have their own set of laws. In audio forums it is also similar, but you don't go to court to defend yourself, just like in some third world countries.

The search for truth and justice can often be brutal and devastating. ...Facts can be twisted just like that! And man is less than a perfect animal.

Now, you might be saying: What is he trying to say, or where is he going with that?
Nothing at all, and nowhere at all; simple curiosity in this very complex world we all live in.
Actually; what is the real goal of man on Earth?

Anyway, I stumbled unto this instead, and look who asked that question; some of you will recognize her right away.

OOhhhhaaa! Sounds like a cat fight brewing. Meowww.

Finally, a premiere! ... First reply. :cool:

* Yeah, over ten years ago though. ...Still, interesting to see the mentality back then. :b
Today we are much more evolved. ;)

Note that she started that thread in late 2002!
And it faded away less than three weeks later.

Many of the GearSlut treads are started by entry level recording hobbyists.
It's more of a hobbyist's forum now than in 2002.
