Hi folks,
I just got back from Las Vegas and the Bay Area for almost 3 weeks of "Hangover" type action, lots of good eats and sore feet from accompanying the wife to all those outlets
The highlight of the trip was when my brother Jim and I capped off our vacation with a visit to Oneobgyn's on the very last day of our stay! To say he has a great system would be one heck of an understatement. I've always believed that a well set up modest system can and will outdo a poorly set up SOTA one. Well, imagine what happens when SOTA meets extremely well thought out and implemented set up. It takes everything to a different level.
As I told Steve, the highest compliment I can give is when I stop listening to how a system "sounds" and just get drawn into the intricacies of the musical content. Well, I was doing just that 8 bars into the CD I brought. GOOD STUFF!!!!!!
The other bonus is that I am now a Sipping Tequila initiate. Over here tequila is shot and "forgot". As in "I forgot what the heck happened!". Thanks to Ron, I have learned yet another golden lesson. Dang, sipping tequila has one heck of a nice glowing buzz!!!!!!
I also got a small glimpse of Ron's NAS drive. The only evil thought I had the whole trip was to grab it and make a run for it
Awards for painful yearning go to Steve's R2R. I had almost forgotten how you can almost chew on the sound of R2R like a really good bagel. Sadly, the lack of any technicians in our locale makes this most painful.
I'll post pictures soon!
Jack
