Does anyone know if CH precision is planning on a CH Control app for Apple ? One that could be downloaded from the App Store and would run on iOS, or iPad OS?

I wrote CH precision twice but heard nothing back.

Thanks in advance guys !

I've heard it's in the works - but that's about it. I finally broke down and just bought a cheap google tablet.

Thank you ! I bought one too, showing me once again Apple is superior !

Fingers crossed I can use my iPad with the new rumored CH Control app for Apple products.

“ please release it, let me go…”

I’ve been told that CH considers it too costly to develop an Apple app due to the need for manpower to provide constant updates. They chose Android for more of a ‘set it and forget it’ experience.

Shame because I can’t stand using Android and would much prefer Apple

Thank you. Yes it is a shame. Appreciate your feedback

I was frustrated at this too, and broke down and bought a cheap android tablet. It wasn't so bad... but some of us think that the ethernet cables are just a vessel for noise; I found I didn't really need the app apart from perhaps setting up the system.

I also found the flashing (network) lights behind the equipment very distracting when listening at night with dimmed (or no) lights.

YMMV of course.

I was told that CH didn't have the iOS expertise until they acquired Wattson Audio who does have iOS development experience.

We're an Apple house but I've dedicated a Samsung tablet to just running the CH app, Roon, and Discogs. Not using it for anything else makes it kind of an appliance and I'm ok with it. I hope that we might see an iOS app eventually though.

How recently did you hear this…?

It was very recent, but I don't know how recently the person who told me got their information.

This is very encouraging! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

For what it's worth, I was told that using the remote introduces noise into the system so using the app to control volume was highly recommended.

Ok - have heard a couple of times in the last six weeks (from different sources) that an iOS app is pending. This is a new-ish development so it may simply be the case that we are both correct (the detail regarding Wattson makes sense)…
