Critical Mass vs. Auva vs Gaia.

Has anyone compared these these three under speaker's? I plan to use them with outriggers.
I compared two of the three - the Auva vs. Gaia. I much preferred the Auva.

Not directly per se as I used Gaias under my old Sonus Faber speakers and use Auva 100 with my Kudos Titan T505 speakers but the latter purchase made a big difference, far more than I recall when I introduced the Gaias to the SF.

Hey guys, how about a little more detail. Flooring, spikes or no spikes all make a difference. GAIAs can be used with or without spiked carpet cups. Huge difference compared to hard floors. Auvas can be used with spikes or not. Suspended wood floors react differently compared to concrete floors. Comments without details are not informative.

My floor is carpet and padding over concrete. I would be interested in comments about Auvas in that application. Speakers are Sound Labs.

Thanks for any feedback regarding Auvas spiked to concrete floors.

My Auras are simply on the tile which is on a concrete slab - no spikes.

Here is a pic that may help:

Same as mine. In my case the AUVA 100 replaced the Isoacoustics Gaia II (spiked) under my speakers. Improvements in reduction in whatever remaining “haze” was there (that I thought was already fully removed with the Gaias), and a slight improvement in low frequency articulation. This without the AUVA yet on their own spikes.

It appears you've decided not to replace the original footers with the Auva threaded inserts. Could you share the reson why?

Due to the angle

That's my flooring as well. Auvas affixed to the speaker stands with spikes, piercing through the carpet to the concrete underneath.

No love for Townshend Seismic Bars...huge improvement for me over Gaia I's.

What kind of floor will they be on?

The Gaia's made the sound soft and rounded to me. The sound became more like a mix of mush. This has been the case under every single piece of gear I've tired them on when they are compared to other types. Just my personal opinion.

Thanks. My experience is the opposite. Bass is more refined (less mushy) when I install Gaias on two different sets of speakers. It’s one tweak where the difference is not subtle, whereas my ears rarely hear much difference with other tweaks. Interestingly, Gaias are now included by both manufacturers. I have no experience with the Auvas.

I lot of people like the Gaia's for sure. They make a great product.

I find that vibration control is very dependent on the gear and the surfaces it is mounted to as to the end results. There is rarely an "always right" answer.

It's one of those topics I find a lot of fun to explore.

Carpet over concrete.
You may want to solicit a user experience from someone who has the Gaias with the carpet spike adaptors. Mine work a charm but they are in contact with vinyl plank glued on concrete so a very different proposition.

I am a big fan of GAIAs on hard floors. I tried them with the spiked carpet cups on thick carpet and padding. The spikes did not contact the concrete underneath. I did not like the results. It seemed like the speakers floated on the carpet and the sound was less defined. If the spikes on the cups don't penetrate to a hard surface then what is their purpose? In that application I preferred simple spikes that penetrated the carpet.
