I just got this tip to use when your channel guide, etc. responds very slowly to the remote when paging through selections:
Tune to Channel 1.
Push RED, RED, BLUE, BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN
This action will clear the NV-RAM and allow the remote to operate the DVR tuner much faster. You will see a confirmation that the NV-RAM has been cleared at the bottom corner of the screen. It worked for mine.
